Former Cowboys RB Ron Springs In Coma

According to published reports, former Dallas Cowboys running back Ron Springs fell into a coma in a Dallas hospital due to complications from a Saturday surgery to have a cyst removed from one of his arms. Springs, 50, has battled complications from diabetes for 16 years and received a kidney from former Cowboys teammate Everson Walls in February. The Washington Redskins announced Tuesday that cornerback Shawn Springs has flown to Dallas to be with his father.

	peyeng said: OH MAN, WHAT A BUMMER! I remembered Ron Springs back in the 70's (1979 thru 1984) along with Tony Dorsett and Robert Newhouse. They were an awsome three-some along with Emmerson Walls, Micheal Downs, Cliff Harris, and Charlie Waters in our secondary. He was a hell of running back in those days.
