This is fantastic!!!!  There is no doubt that this will pay great dividends for the Boys.  Owens is in great shape and doesn't seem to have lost a step.  He is a vital cog in our offensive machine and it is good that he will be around for 3 more years!!!

I understand the position the Jones' are in but that may limit what the team can do in the future, especially adding another receiver or two who can take over from T.O.   I hope that most of that contract is incentive laden and not guaranteed.

Jerry is closing the deals...TO better be worth it, and I have a feeling he will be...

Now if Terry can play...They Boys will be primed and ready.

I think is a good move, but don't count on the Cowboys adding any other WR free agents after this signing.  Hope the younger guys step up and do what is needed to play on the level needed to get out of this postseason funk we've been in the past 12 years.

Glad to hear that pacman finally gets to practice and T.O. is goin to finish his career with us.  I just hope terry glenn can get back to his old self and we can get back to the top

It has been a great day to be a Dallas Cowboy. This contract extension is the icing on the cake!

is TO worht it ,  are you kidding me ????  the man ( along w/ TR ) has done nothing except bring our offense back from the gloom of BP & DB..... He's worht every penny of it ,  regardless of how much it is worth...... TO signed ,  A. Jones practicing ,  T-New & MBIII locked up for years to come ,  this is turning out to be a great off season ,  get Hamlin inked and everything is in place to be a great season in the making........

There is still money for another WR. With TG out of the picture, that frees up around 5-6m a year for another WR. So paying another big name receiver upwards of 7m a year wont kill the boys to badly.

Good job getting TO signed tho, he should retire a cowboy, hes ressurected his image here, and his career here. So why not retire a cowboy.

Whoa whoa whoa.  This might not be as great as it initially sounds.  Why give him his extension right now if the terms of the deal end up hurting our 2008 cap space.  We're just sliding by as it is.  We still have other key contracts to address in the near future.

I bet Hamlin is getting worried everyone else is getting their contracts except for him canty is probably sweating it to, three years is to long for T.O he will probably only play 2 more hes getting to old and those cameras are getting tempting.

about time. This should have been done sooner. TO took care of business last year. we will have a good year with him and the new guys they are bringing in. sam hurd from san antonio showed he can deal with the cowboys. way to go jerry. now that Pacman is in the fold the good guys need to school him about what it means to be a Dallas Cowboys!

I'm not sure, but I think nfl dot com has reported that they have signed TO to a three year extension for 27 million w/a 12.9 million signing bonus, so he's signed thru 2011 season. Ahhhhhh, TO for four more seasons, he may be injury-prone, but he is quite awesome. The 'Boys are looking poised for a great season. Too bad we're in the NFC East where every team just beats eachother up. Oh well, it's still the best division ever. Go 'Boys!!

Man it sure is wonderful here being in the midst of yet another dynasty. All these great players getting PAID!!!! Just like back in the day with Troy, Deion, and Emmitt getting their big paydays after winning Super Bowls......

With all these big deals being made, this squad needs to win at least TWO Lombardi trophies to justify all the green that's getting spread around to talent that has UNDERperformed so far.

Totally worth it.  However, I don't see Owens being the type of guy that will retire if he is still puting up numbers and doesn't have a ring.  It will take something tragic happening before he quits.

Great news... although, I would have liked to see T.O. play a few regular season games in a contract year before actually signing him to an extension. I know he's worth it, but I just wonder if his play on the field will be more lax now that he is financially set for the rest of his forseeable career. If they wait and make him sweat a bit, maybe we see T.O. play out of his mind for that money.  Anyway, I hope I'm wrong and since he doesn't have to worry about a contract anymore he will just be T.O. and along with Romo take us to the promised land that we once knew on the 90's!  GO BOYS!

Now we just have to grab a deal with Hamlin and we should be all set, oh and yes with Canty as well.

Dang almost forgot to mention my feeling on To. TO certainly earned his new contract and I am probably more estatic than he is. He is an outstanding player who has developed an admirable character that quit frankly many are probably surprise he has shown.

it's going to be a great last season in "The Stadium", TO is going to be in great shape for the next ten years with that chamber he has in his living room! Jerry's doing a great job of stabilizing the team, wait.... did HBO start filming yet, I can't wait to watch all of this on the tube.
