So you guys think your seats suck in the new stadium? Try these on for size...

How funny is that.  Yeah, I'd hate to be that guy that is allocated that seat.

So, as it states in the article, "A smaller number -- about three-dozen seats -- are considered completely obstructed and will never be sold for a game."  However, "bargain-hunting fans who love the atmosphere despite the view will have opportunities to buy those partly obstructed views at a cheaper price -- but only after all other seats are sold out."  I can see it now...some guy is going to buy all those three dozen of "partly obstructed view" seats and sell them on ebay to some poor families and other Colts fans looking for tickets.  Glad the Cowboys do not have this problem.

If that were Jerry's stadium, there would be a 70 inch plasma on that pillar and he would charge a $7500 psl and $150 ticket for the "amenity" of a once in a lifetime way to watch the game!!!

No, no--I think they'd go with a PR approach: "With a seating layout modeled after revered American landmarks such as Wrigley Field and Fenway Park, Wal-Mart Field at Arlington brings you these exclusive Pillar Boxes!"

All kidding aside, this happened in Chicago as well. A few seats wound up obstructed by a scoreboard support beam, and in one corner they must have miscalculated, because there was a row of seats installed in a place where the deck above made any viewing impossible.

Wal-Mart Field.  Oh the irony if that wound up being the name on the new stadium.

    I love it!!

Looks like the Cowboys are all switching over to a new forum on the website and will disabled this one, which sucks because there is 62 pages of useful information here (well, that and valid complaints along the way).

NY Football GIants have released their season ticket and PSL prices.

    http://www.nyg2010.com/

Jesus, the season ticket prices in the Coaches Club is $700.00 per ticket. Price range varies greatly... there are some really cheap $1000.00 PSL's, They range all the way up to $20,000.

My current Dallas Cowboys PSL in the new Giants stadium would cost me $7500 per PSL and $400 per ticket...

    Thank you Cowboys!

    UPDATE

Couple of Giants fans are in shock, disbelief and in a state of depression over on their forums.

    ANOTHER UPDATE

It really just keeps getting better for me.... The Giants will not allow their fans to finance over 30 years like the Cowboys. They are requiring they pay it all over a 18 month installment... I think.

Just broke out the spreadsheet--here's some fun with numbers. Let's assume 30 years in the new stadiums, which is the Cowboys stated sunset in the PSL. And the assume that every 5 years they raise ticket prices by 5%.

A pair of the best Giants seats ("The Coaches Club") will set you back $47,613 in tickets. Add in the $20K per PSL and you have about $87K spent.

For the Cowboys you'd spend $23,126 in tickets. But the PSL is either $150K each or $50K each. Assume the $50K and you've spent $123,126 over 30 years.

Giants Mezz Club A is $34K in tickets + 25K for 2 PSLs = $59,000. For the Dallas equivalent it's 50K or $36K for the PSL each. Use the 36K and it's $72K for 2 PSLs plus the same $23,126 for tix = $95,126.

    Giants Mezz Club B is $27,105 in tickets + $15K 2 PSLs = $42,205. In the Dallas equivalent it's the $16K PSLs ($32K total) + $23,126 for tickets = $55,126.

Rough numbers, but the Cowboys prices are a lot higher on the Club-type seats.

I guess that would make it Super Wal-Mart Field!

Just thought I'd drop by and see who else may have been here.  To visiting bear and those who haven't transfered over, hope to see you in the new forums.  If not, it was nice chatting with you here and I wish you well.  Smile  (the smiley is something we certainly don't have over there.  Going to miss this thing) Sad
