Re: Best QB in the NFL POLL

This is the way my way of thinking is based on.  If I had a Saturday afternoon tackle football team that had to play against the city-next-door team, and I knew that I didn't have the best O-Line or weapons to deal with, I'm easily picking Tony Romo as my QB...regardless of how good those other QBs are or what they've done in the past or for how long.  Why?  Because Tony has something that they don't have, and that is exceptionally good scrambling abilities under duress and the ability to still make a play out of nothing at all!  That's why I easily pick Tony!  *peace*

I think we're getting a little bit silly here. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are considerably more polished than Romo. They:

    1.) Are more accurate

2.) Have fewer passes batted down at the line

    3.) Throw better deep balls

4.) Respond to defensive schemes more adeptly

    5.) Sell the Play-Fake Better

6.) Have demonstrated the ability to check down more complex routes.

Romo improvises more readily, is not as streaky (responds better to pressure. No, really.), and is younger. All three are big, but let's not be ridiculous. Amazing he may be, but Peyton Manning and Tom Brady would go down in the books with Marino and Montana if they retired tomorrow.

so what is your point?  we know romo is younger then brady and peyton, and is on his first year as a starter. give him time, he will be better then both of them! he plays much better on his first year, then they have on theirs!

    Mr Freeway:

Gotta go with Brady for right now.

    it's 4th and 13. down 4pts on the 20yd line.

00:06 secs on the clock in the superbowl

who do you want under center?

I say right now because of numbers.

its been brady for the last 3 yrs.  the dude can play.  if i were going to start a team, he would be the first player i choose.

i put romo right behind him.  romo has to perform well in the playoffs, and just the same, if not better, next year to be in the same class as brady.

i have never been a big manning fan, you can put up all the numbers you want, but he does seem to fold as pressure is placed on him.

having said all this, i want romo to pound this guy in the rematch.

If this situation were to actually occur, I would have to go with Brady.  Not because I think he's better, but he has more weapons to go to and has a better chance of success.

No its because everyone knows you're really a closet Cheatriots fan, why don't you just admit it?

brady and manning are pocket QBs and Romo is a scrambling QB, all 3 very good in their own respects..  Romo may not be able to hang in the pocket like Brady and Manning, but neither of those guys can scramble like Romo.  Its almost not fair to compare the 3.

It's safe to say Manning, Brady, & Romo (if he continues to play at this level) will no doubt make it into the HOF..

It's Brady, but on a Cowboys board, is there any doubt Romo is going to come out ahead in this poll?

I think every team in the league wants to trade their best players to the Cowboys in exchange for the Cowboys garbage (Roy, Spears, Carpenter, etc.). My kool aide stays spicked.

Glad to see my fellow Cowboy fans so show much love for Romo. I voted for Romo, but you wouldn't be wrong with any of those answers. My point is that Romo is playing in the same level as Peyton, Brady and Favre. That is amazing.

Whatever.....   I gave an opinion.  How does that make me a fan of that team?  Others said they thought Brady would do better...are they Pats fans too?

Why don't you and woahwoahwoah go back to picking your noses and leave people alone?  Or do you just get off on stirring the pot for absolutely no reason?

Re: Best QB in the NFL POLL

As it stands right now this is how I would order the them.

    1. Tom Brady-----He is playing like no other QB is this season, he without a doubt probably has the League MVP locked up. So tell someone knocks him off I have to place him number one as the Best QB in the league.

    2. Peyton Manning-----While not having a good a year as Tom Brady, however he's been consistently good over the years, winning the Super Bowl last year.

    3. Tony Romo-----If not for Tom Brady many consider Romo to be having a league MVP type season. He's lead the Cowboys to a 12-1 record, the best record the Cowboys have ever had. He's already broke the Cowboys single season record for touchdowns by a QB and before it's over with may have a few more this season.
