I just went on youtube, and saw some of Roy Williams greatest hits, and plays.  WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man he was really something special when he came on to the scene.  I'm not sure if his best days are behind him, or that he's a player that has lost his confidence, but Damn did he lower the boom to everyone.  Very good speed, and he made some pretty nice int's.  Where did that player ever go?

I have seen the same tapes and Roy is just a shell of a player now. He got his payday and now he just takes it easy. I hope he does not make the Pro Bowl, so he can get some of that fire back.

It just amazes me that this is the same player.  Remember when everyone was saying that he could be better than Ronnie Lott?  Never pre-judge athletes.  Example: ( Roy Williams).   I'm with you on hopefully at sometime in the near future he will get the fire back.  Personally it believe it is more of a confidence issue.  He's been believing what he hears from the media.

Yeah, I know, I'm ready for that to happen, but as long as we keep winning, it will take care of itself...but I don't wan to go into the last game of the season having to win to get homefield throughout....if we win our next 2 we should clinch homefield throughout...

Either that...or something is wrong with him physically that he doesn't want to share because it might cost his job.  Not sure what that would be...but think about Greg Ellis earlier this year.  He was "injured" until he was able to talk to Jerry and get the insurance thing taken care of.

I don't know just a thought.

I agree, I think his confidence is gone, and I think he maybe playing hurt....I watched the replay of the Detroit game last night, and he seemed reluctant to get in there on the tackles.....he seemed real timid...

Yes, I do see him getting a starting job.  It probably won't happen this year but next year I think the safety spots should be wide open to competition.  Watkins is young, fast, quick to the ball and is showing strong tackling ability.  That sounds like the recipe for a great safety to me.  What do the rest think?

I think he will be great down the road.  For all the reasons you mentioned including one you didn't...he is Tall!  Which is critical when dealing with some of these receivers and the weak NFL rules now on contact.

Besides...I seem to recall we had another FSU defender that turned out pretty well  ;-)

Why did it take you so long to make the home page?  All it requires is a hosted account and NVU, Frontpage or Dreamweaver.  And why are you telling us about it on here? 

Now, about this topic. How would anybody on this forum know? He's becoming a special teamer star as did Keith Davis but Davis didn't make a good starting safety. He did make a good target and holds the Cowboy all time record for being shot after midnight with two. I think the after midnight part is important in case any other players want to go for the record they need to know to stay up late. The fact that Hamlin got clubbed after midnight in Seattle also stands as a record. There is a pattern here that cannot be ignored. We have two safeties that think safety is a position and not a goal. I think if Watkins avoids getting shot or clubbed (since that's already been done) and goes to bed before midnight, he has a good chance.

She was hanging out in the locker room and leering at the players using soup she didn't even make as a ruse to satisfy her sordid desires. Sordid desires are fine but make your own soup. Seriously, I hope Mrs. Ware has it in her contract that she doesn't have to serve that crap that looked like cat paws and chicken butts and either it was my TV or someone's growing blue vegetables just for Campbells.
