hey man i know that romo had a dissapointing game but he is still going through learning process. next lesson is to cope with being qb of americas team. no more pop singers. no more mexico. just football football football.

You know I know that had nothing to do with the loss we just had.    But I really hope the next lesson he learns is not to put himself in the situation.
I don't believe that Jessica Simpson had anything to do with anything.  I do, however, wonder if it was wise for the entire team to take the weekend off, rather than practice and spend their time getting prepared for the game.  I was told that the Colts did the same thing....rested up as opposed to work and they were upset as well, where as last year, they continued to work their tails off and won the Superbowl.  Oh well....what's done is done and can't be undone....it's water under the bridge.  The Cowboys will pick themselves up, dust themselves off and we will see them in the playoffs again next year, of that, I have no doubt.

i know that the mexico trip had nothing to do with the loss but tony has got to use better judgement. he knows that if he does the vacation then he has to win no matter what. thats too much pressure for a guy. wouldnt it be nice if tony just  stays away from the tabloids this season. then he can focus on his quest for a ring. one more thing. why pick jessica. we all know she isnt the brightest bulb. it seems that her dumbness rubbed off on tony. like when he was still in the pocket with lots of time and he throws the ball away for intentional grounding. just joking but still jessica is not good influence on tony. well it could be worse at least hes not with britney. now that would be a disaster

Tony also made it sound like going to Mexico and going to Vegas were the only two options in his post-game press conference. He was like, "At least I did not go to Vegas and spend a couple days drinking there..." Bad idea, Tony. I guess several Cowboys indeed went to Vegas and partied... By saying that, I think he offended a few more people. Hmmm...

Ever since Washington game, I noticed Tony became more agitated and less composed in games... The truth is, he did not play well in Jets game. He had a relatively good QB rating, but he really missed throws left and right, and that game was won because Jets really could not do anything on offense. The Packers game he played well, however, he was said to be studying real hard prior to the game, and my first thought was "does that mean he did not study hard enough during the week?" LOL Then In Detroit game I saw he spiked the ball after Gurode made another bone-headed snap error and my reaction was, "I have never seen him this upset before. What's got into him?"

To be honest I think he had hoped that this time it would be different, him and Jessica, from what happened last year. Last year people blamed Underwood for his downfall towards the end of the season, so this time he tried so hard to prove people wrong, even if he says he doesn't care. That Eagles game, the Jessica coming out party seemed to be something he had hoped that could show the world that the relationship would not harm his game, hence his nervousness prior to the game, but alas it did not turn out to be the case. It just went downhill from there. The more he tried, the worse it got. He can say, "I don't care about what people are saying about me," but at the same time he says it bothers him that what people are saying hurts people he cares... How can he concentrate if he has to comfort a woman crying for his attention? I know I can't be 100 percent focused on my work/study, if my puppy sits next to me and cries for my attention all the time (and he does, all right bad analogy).

Anyway... I just think he fell in love at the worst possible time. But I cannot blame him for that. I can only hope next year he doesn't get into similar situations. Besides, I completely blame myself. I went to Casa di Giulietta in Verona on Thanksgiving day, and left Juliet a message about ROMO. It was a joke, on my part... But I think Romo did turn into Romeo after that day. sigh

The only knock I have against Romo is all the INT's he throws. He throw what? 20 something this year? I know 5 of them where in one game and I believe 3 others were in another one game. though I would like to see his INT number cut in at least half. Which means by being smarter with the football. Know when to throw it or when to just throw it away.

Some of INTs were his receivers faults, at least 4. So that means he would have had just 14 INTs. Quite average. All Buffalo ones were on him, though.

I have no knocks on Romo.  Mexico, Shemexico, He's still young and sometimes stuff happens.  We as fans have no right to dictate who he shacks up with and where he goes.  He has a girlfriend and a hot one.  Yipee.  I'm happy for him.  What if he gets married?  If he loses a game, can we petition that he divorces his wife?  Come on.

He prepared to play and the team lost. It was a team loss.  Being the QB of the Cowboys opens himself up to criticism.  There is nothing he can do right to please anyone.  I know he plays better next year no matter who the coordinator is.  He will continue to mature and make smarter decisions as he enters his THIRD year as a starter.  Peyton Manning didn't get to and win his first playoff game until his sixth year.  He went to two playoff games as a starter already.  Give the kid a chance to mature and grow.  You have to admit, he's done pretty well.

He'll get better and smarter and this team will continue to be built around his strengths and weaknesses.  I'm excited for him and his future.

Yup I have to agree with DalFan4ever.. And I'll add that imo.. in this last playoff game, I think he pulled his weight. If only he'd gotten more cooperation from certain teammates!

But we are expecting an awful lot from such a young QB. We need more patience.. He's got the goods, the potential, the desire, and that will be ultimately how he succeeds. I do admit he's done well, and I fully expect him to improve next season.
