Re: Quincy Carter signed by KC Brigade

You may have to call the team itself to find out about a jersey.  I couldn't find any listed on the AFL.com store site, and the only one listed on the team site is Bon Jovi LOL.  Dismal.  Here's the team store link w/phone #.

LOL. I forget the subject line doesn't change unless we change it,  Quincy is still on KC's practice squad, and, from what I've heard, they're in no hurry to get him onto the field, which is good for Q.

Quincy gets one step closer to starting for the Kansas City Brigade.

The Kansas City Brigade have activated quarterback Quincy Carter from the practice squad.  Carter became a member of the Brigade on May 7th. Rookie quarterback D. Bryant will remain the starter for this week’s contest against the Chicago Rush. Quarterback Matt Kohn, selected in last summer’s disbursal draft, has been placed on recallable waivers. “Over the course of the season we have obviously been disappointed in our quarterback play, so this move gives us the best chance to win not only this season, but looking forward to next season. Carter has shown great skill and a desire to play since he joined us, and D. earned another start with a good performance last week against one of the league’s best teams. Unfortunately there are only so many spots available.  Matt (Kohn) worked so hard and did everything asked of him,” according to Brad Likens, Executive Director. On the season, Bryant started erratically, but now has a quarterback rating of 100.5 with a 64% completion percentage, with 32 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. He also has a team high 11 rushing touchdowns. In his lone start, Kohn was 19 for 35 for 278 yards with 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in a loss to Grand Rapids.  Kohn rushed for a season high 58 yards against the Rampage.

    Re: AFL

     D. Bryant did a good job in beating Philadelphia last week, and they almost beat Orlando the week before, so he's started to assert himself.  Interesting that they released the #2 guy and elevated Quincy to that spot.  Hopefully they can keep easing him into things, but I'd be shocked if he doesn't get to play at some point this year.  KC is in no danger of being a playoff contender, and this quote, 'but looking forward to next season' might mean they plan to give Carter a look no matter what.  The Brigades last 4 games are being shown on FSN, so if you have satellite sports pak, you'll be able to get 'em.

Quincy Carter to start this Sunday

Wow, that was fast!  This one looks like it's not televised outside of KC, but their next one will be.

It's a smart marketing move and a smart move period for a team that hasn't won many games. I hope Q has great success in his first AFL game, but it looks like that line is pretty banged up.

My bad; I misread the schedule.  Arizona at KC WILL be televised Sunday 2pm on FSN Arizona and FSN Midwest. http://www.arenafootball.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=3500&KEY=&ATCLID=1407166

    Quincy Carter

Quincy had a rough outing in his first start for the KC Brigade today. He showed flashes, but with only a month of practice with his new team it showed at times. It didn't sound like he had much to work with, his team dropped alot of balls, fumbled, etc... But next week Carter should have a better chance to get a win when they face the LA Avengers.

I didn't see any of the game, but here are his stats, and they're not pretty.  You can't win many AFL: games with only 4 TD's, but it was his first game action in quite a while.  Hopefully he can do better.

No, the Bon Jovi jersey just comes in adult L & XL.  I looked on the Champs website and couldn't find any Soul jerseys at all.  That's a pretty weak offering, if you ask me.  Have your parents call the team and ask about youth jerseys; they have to be out there somewhere.

I went on the team website and went to the kids section of the store and actually found a youth replica Graziani jersey!
