Bailey is very over-rated, he gives up a lot of big plays and does get scored on.  Newman is probably the most complete corner in the league right now, that Raiders corner is probably #2. 

I think its hard to judge how good a CB is unless you follow his team all yr. We follow newman and therefore know how good he is, and how complete he is. CB's become vastly overrated b/c you see some highlights of int's, and you think there a good corner, while they make pics they might not cover and have great consitancy at not giving up big plays. Newman doesn't make big plays, and isn't talked about b/c he nearly always doing his job, and not being thrown at.

I havnent followed pacman so i couldn't tell you how well and consitant he covers. We all know his return ability, and know he can come up with a big play, but how often and well he consitantly covers is yet to be seen 

I got to watch the 1st half replay of the Cowboys-Patriots game. Samuel was just another CB out on the field. Dallas ran their plays, and Samuel was getting beat regular. Hope that trend continues. :)

Champ Bailey was the best CB in the league, however he may not be any more.  During the 2006 season, Bailey gave up 2 receptions all year.  Look it up.  Not two TD's, two receptions.  Bailey was the best for a few years, but CB is a short-lived position.  A CB is lucky if he can play at a quality level after about 33-34 years of age.  How old is Bailey?  I really don't know, but he's got to be early to mid 30'as.  Bailey may be overrated now, but he was not overrated in his prime.

he'll be 30 in June......and yeah he's still the best, and at his prime was even better.  Adding Dre Bly and having 2 aging safteys don't help matters either(Lynch 36 and Ferguson 33)

I think it's hilarious when people call Bailey overrated. He's still the best in the game and only 30. He was injured last year but is far from finished.
