I dislike the Yankees.
I find it funny that no matter how much money George spends he just can't seem to 'buy' that championship. At least in recent years.
Me too. Steiny has gone the route of the Redskins, buying big marquee names and not paying attention to the details such as pitching, defense, and team unity. Good pitching trumps good hitting almost every time. It's hilarious to watch. They have one guy on their team that has a bigger salary than a WHOLE other team. One player...makes more than all the money another team pays out to their whole club. HAHA, insane.
The funny part is that team always has their number!! Yanks can't beat TB or KC for that matter???? The state of baseball is more sad than funny with salaries like that! I know right. You always see where TB took like 3 out of 4 from them.
"All right now, I'm comin' out. Any man I see out there, I'm gonna kill him. Any sumbitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only gonna kill him, but I'm gonna kill his wife. All his friends. Burn his damn house down."

Yanks lose to Rays - Again! Now 2 games under .500. Hehe. Rays in 1st, I think. Know why? They were smart enough to build a good pitching staff, unlike some teams who spend a fortune on prima donnas.
OK, Ellis is a bit above average.

I think you are seeing a team deflated at having lost a valued member and haven't got on board with the new skip....
I like Joe G. I just think he might have gotten himself in more than he could chew. Hopefully, he'll right the ship.
Plus as much as I hate to admit it, they are showing how old they look...

Steiny made a big mistake getting rid of the old skip. It wasn't his fault that the Yanks didn't have the pitching to win it all.
OK, Ellis is a bit above average.

They're a little more than just weak, they are absolutely dreadful, and until they get better pitching, they'll be lucky to get out of the AL East cellar!!!

OK, Ellis is a bit above average.

And that's why the Yankees haven't won a championship since 2000. Their pitching is horrible. Plus I am in full agreement with your next post about letting Torre go. What a HUGE mistake.
I think Steinbrenner is no longer effective as an owner or a GM (which we all know he still is) and Cashman, their so called GM is just a yes man.
Without pitching they have no chance.
New season, new players, new result!

I wanna see Steinbrenner and Al Davis trapped on a boat with no servants. They would die of starvation because they would keep attempting to get the other to go get them some food. Now that would be some reality tv.

That could never happen. Steinbrenner and Al Davis are the same person.

For all you Yankees fans.
After much anticipation to the start of Yankees baseball, the Yankees won their home opener against the Toront Blue Jays 3-2. A-Rod went 2 for 3 scoring a run and driving in an RBI. Too bad he doesn't hit like that during the playoffs.
1 down 161 more to go.
I for one root and vote for the Yankees to win it all. Every year. So will try to fit into a lounge of a sport I do not like...but when the yankees play in the World Series i will Watch that. You have to have friends to love baseball.
Hope I get some. Just to play dominoes. And if they want to watch Baseball. Welllllllllll, will take a vote.
Gotcha.

It's nice to finally see the Yankees winning games. 7 in a row now with their 2-1 win last night over SD. Only 5 games back now. There's still a long ways to go.
Maybe now since Willie Randolph was fired from the Mets, ole Steiny will bring him back.
New season, new players, new result!
