I'm sorry you feel this way. I don't think this is a bad thing. Everyone has opinions though! Why do you "feel", this way? Any facts to back this up or just a wizz in the wind? We seem to have a pretty elite bunch of coaches. Jason Garrett and Wade are terrible? Just to name the first two that come to mind... Geeked

I agree.  I feel that this is the best group of coaches we have had since the early 90's!

I think with Wade Phillips, this is the best thing. Wade is a good coach in some ways, but he seems to kind of, let things slide. He doesn't micro manage. That's fine and actually a good thing, if you have responsibile people under you. I think Wade will allow these coaches to bring out their best in the players as he won't be a burden by getting in the way. I think if you had a Bill Parcells with this coaching staff, there would be too much head butting. Parcells is better off with guys that act like robots because he likes it micro manage things.

I think this is the best coaching staff we have had in years! I hope they prove me right.

when the wins are at thier most vibrant start,, things are heavenly and all is well in the camp...again after one lose,,, or dare i say two losses. what will the head say to the body. Or allow me to say the heads. The best return in all of this is the mentioning of Jerrry Jones might need to keep to himself, and allow the coaches coach. And Wade to be a happy puppet coach. And Jason to wait his rise to the throne...humbug.humbug humbutt

    Justice:

I think Jerry Jones' most desparate mistake is that he wants to coach and be an owner.  He needs to sit in his box and stay off the field.  The reason why the Cowboys haven't had much success lately is because the last great coach we had he ran off so he could get one to control.  The he gets Parcells and I thought, "awesome, finally someone Jones won't control".  It worked for awhile, but now we are back to the same old, same old.  I'm just not totally convinced that Phillips is going to be any better than a DC.  I do know this is where he would like to be and maybe he will work extra hard to stay, but I don't think he can or will stand up to JJ.

Jones' ego is the problem w/ the franchise.  He had the coach but his ego wanted all the glory for building the 90's squad and so he got rid of Jimmy.  He thought w/ the talent on hand and his superior football knowledge he could plug any clown in and keep on winning.  The drafts and other decisions following that ill fated choice in 1994 showed he didn't know what he was doing. We have a run on puppets as HC, cue Parcell's pretty much rebuilding the team from scratch, now that Jerry feels he has the talent, he starts doing things to run Parcells off and bring in another puppet for the run of SB trophies that is sure to follow, now that he has rebuilt his team.  The future remains to be seen but I don't think we'll ever see consistent success w/ this organization as long as the Jones family owns it.  Their ego makes them believe they know how to own and operate a team, they can do 1/2 of that, the hard part they have no clue about.

I believe that the last game of the season is a perfect example, of what I was trying to put forth. That with the losses at the end of the season, and the way we were beaten. by two division opponents. The Eagles and the Redskins. All of sudden we are going to attack a team we beat both times over the air, now we are going to eat clock, eat dirt and smash their mouths. The game the Giants no sowell how to play. We scored 3 points in the second half, they scored 7. We both scored three times, they had three touchdowns to our 2 td's and a field goal.

We changed our running balance, put our closer at the beginning and basicaly just a relief(jj) at the end of a tough playoff game. And tried to play catch up, and almost caught a whirlwind of momentum. We just got left with more questions, disgust and wondering eyes.

All of these certain changes, that spelled doom. You make changes against someone when it is not working. You use trickery when you are the medicore team trying to get a win. We had beat this team twice. Beat those Redskins over the top.  Beat those Eagles over the top.

But with some losses we are going to change for what. The Cowboys had an identity. Beat us or go home. WE beat you over the top.\

Well imagine now that we have how many X-coaches, oh when the winning is bright it is good. but the first loss, the second, how many new ideas will come to the front.

Awh heck, the Cowboys need an identiy, and Tony Romo is the the QB,,,,,,,,,,,,and he likes to beat you deep..............after he runs for a mile.

    GO COWBOYS, PASS ON!!!

I do not agree with one thing you said.  You do not just use trick place against medicore teams.  You use flea flicker, half back passes, etc. against teams that are stiff competition to give you the edge.  For example after the Barbarian ran for so many yards the first half against the giants, the half back pass would have been wide open.

well jerrythejoke,,,,could have probably put it better and maybe more soundly.

    ok here i go...

What had worked earlier, maybe was growing stale. So change was inevitable. And needed. And it was to utilize the personnel, to beat a team we had already beat twice. So let us put our brains together, and walah, we tricked you.

we get our closer tired, we got our starter disenchanted. Our locker room is talking about the pro bowl, and are thinking of Mexico. And let's go beat this team and celebrate our victory, and play the NFC championship next week.

You know now I am confused, what were you saying.

You're right. The Cowboys beat them twice before and instead of using the same blueprint, they tried something completely different for the sake of changing things up! Nothing I hate more. You killed them with the pass the first time around forcing the Giants to have to score almost 40 points to win (which they couldn't do!!!), now you sit Julius and give Barber 16 carries in the first half??????? They outwitted themselves!

Well its easy to look back at the game against the giants and coach it.  Before the game starts or while its going on is a different story.  I get tired of hearing what they should of or should not have done.  Drafting is the same way.  Some guys that are mediocre in college can become NFL HOF's and some super jocks from college don't do worth a crap.  It is a gamble.  If you think you can do better, go buy an NFL Franchise and I will sit back and laugh.  Jason Garrett is a great OC and now he has access to a few more weapons.  Our OLine should be better with Houck at the helm.  Our secondary will be better with the addition of new talent and Coach Campo.  How is this overkill?  You have to have position coaches.  As far December and the playoffs last year, I think the only thing we were guilty of was complacency.  We rested and didn't keep our edge.  Showed our enemy the *** in our armour.  We had the Giants beat, and could have beaten them 9 outta 10 times.  It just wasn't meant to be I guess.  Even as bad as our D played and as sloppy as our O played at times, we still had the game until the end.  Too many drops, quit routes, and poor execution killed us.  Is that a coaching fault.  Was it Jerry's fault Crayton quit on a sure TD route.  Maybe we should have been more prepared or focused, I don't know.  I blame a few players for that loss, not so much the coaching.  The coaching kept us in the game, players lost it for us in the end.

    OH yea what a cop-out.

Go buy your team and what you will laugh....go and buy your own post forum, so those who do not agree with you .

You ban them and only accept those who do. The stupid coaching began in the Eagles game, that by the time it got to the Redskins game, it evolved into complete lunacy. Why would you even go into a game wishy washy, and say we do not need to play our starters, and this game is of no consequence. And there is our starting quarterback, what in the third quarter almost getting put on IR. why. Stupid, pendejos and blind arrogant unmotivated college rah rah coaching, in a game that yea. just play the subs and lets wait for the next game, by practicing. Win something we have not done since probably Wade had even a job to try win his first playoff game.

come on big daddy geraldine, use more sense then our coaches did those last futile days. The loss is on them.

And the hidden gem is here, after a few losses this coming year, thats when the tormoil begins, too many heads, not enough playmakers.

I will carry on a conversation with you when you can complete a sentence that half ass makes sense.  Until then, grow up, graduate high school and quit the name calling, tough guy.  I didn't single you out personally, just posted my comment.  If you don't like what I think, so be it.  I am sure I will sleep well enough tonight !  I hate to break this to you, but I have a strange feeling that you are not near as intelligent as you think you are on the subject of professional sports.  Especially on the subject of coaching the Dallas Cowboys !  Get over it !

I think I found my way through the jungle.  In answer to the question:  "Why not play our starters in the Redskins game?"

Because we had many players nicked up.  A little rest will do wonders for injuries.  The stupid thing was letting Romo play much at all behind an Oline that was missing starters.  Two, wasn't it?  The game was of no consequence.

And we found out pretty quickly that w/ Newmann and Henry both nicked up, our secondary was awful.  Ditto WR's w/ TO and TG both nowhere near full strength in the playoff game.  The main reason we lost was because of injuries.  Why did we run the ball?  Our two best WR's were hurt leaving us w/ few options.  Need youth.  Hopefully we got it.

OK, Ellis is a bit above average.

Lekkerkerker. I don't know why, but that name will not leave my head. Maybe Houck can coach up Lekkerkerker so that we can talk about Lekkerkerker more often. Lekkerkerker.
