I submitted a post about the Patriots interest in Pacman and it was locked.  No biggie, but I was just curious why my it was locked.  I didn't see any other threads about that and the website I got this info from was just posted today so it is "new" news.  I know there are a lot of posts about Pacman and there is a separate thread, but my post didn't have anything to do with the Cowboys acquiring Pacman. I wanted to see if anyone else had any opinions abuot the Pats getting him, because they are another team that is in desparate need of CB's.

Though I was not involved in either thread, it looks to me as though the first thread was probably locked because it wasn't posted in the proper forum. As you pointed out, it involved another team and thus does not belong in the Cowboys Forum, but rather in The Rest Of The NFL.

It appears as though the second thread was locked because another one on the topic was already in existence and a link was provided.

As per the site rules, this is a matter that should have been handled via PM, and not publicly, and I would lock this thread, but I will leave it open for one reason, and one reason only, in case any staff member(s) wish to add anything.

I think you are a good poster and I enjoy your posts, and conversations I have had with you. However, in this instance, adhering more to the site rules probably would have avoided your displeasure and improved your experience greatly.

No apology necessary in my book, bro

Was just sticking my nose in and tossing in my two pennies was all.

To PM a person, simply click on their name in a post and then it will bring up their page, and on the right side there will be some links, one of which says send that person a personal message. Just click that link and you're good to go, then it's just like making a forum thread that is private between you and them.

Since this seems to have run it's course, and no other staff has wanted to comment, I'm going to go ahead and close it
