We try to keep threads at 40 pages or less, except in topic of the day which is the only part of the forums we're really not in charge of.

ESPN's John Clayton reports that commissioner Roger Goodell may allow Pacman Jones to work out at a team's facility while he decides whether to reinstate the suspended cornerback.

Clayton says this is only a possibility if a trade happens, not that the Titans want Pacman working out with them anyways. Jones being able to train at Valley Ranch would be a nice plus for the Cowboys if they acquire him.
This is the worst offseason since we had 0 1st round picks and took Quincy Carter in the 2nd round.

Who is going the top runningback we can get next year with the #26 pick in the draft?

Well, they were reported to have raised their offer "significantly".  Nobody seems to know what that means though.

I don't like the fact that Jerry decided to offer more (instead of less) for this trade to happen:

    Pacman fatigue sets in

For those of you still interested in the Pacman Jones saga, let me offer a "sincere" apology. There was a time when I spoke to Pacman's Atlanta-based agent, Manny Arora, on a daily basis.

In recent days, though, my interest in the Pacman trade has waned, which is to say I don't give a flying rip if this thing ever happens. But since some of you guys are still emotionally invested in this deal, let me tell you that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has raised his offer, according to my former colleagues at The Dallas Morning News.

What does that mean exactly? Well, a few minutes ago a source at Valley Ranch told me that Jones is finally willing to throw in a 2009 draft pick, although it's not the fourth-rounder that the Titans were asking for. Now that Jerry is through bidding against himself, it's time for the Titans and Cowboys to consummate this trade. Pacman to the Cowboys will be the most anti-climactic announcement this offseason.

And just for you guys, I'm going to place a call to Arora in a few minutes. He was planning to apply for Pacman's reinstatement at some point today. Commissioner Roger Goodell is swinging through Dallas tomorrow to visit with Hashmarks, so we'll see if he has anything to add.

It was 6th, reported to be raised.  Also, Pacman is not applying for reinstatement today.

    ----------------------------------------
The Cowboys have reportedly increased their trade offer for Pacman Jones from a sixth-round pick to "significantly more."

We presume they added a future pick to the pot. Pacman is re-applying for reinstatement on Tuesday, but that doesn't mean he'll hear back from the commissioner anytime soon. The Cowboys aren't in any rush to strike a deal.
    ----------------------------------------
Pacman Jones will wait to apply for reinstatement to the NFL.

The original plan was to file papers Tuesday, but that has changed. Jones is apparently waiting for his trade to the Cowboys to happen. "I was going to file for reinstatement but I wanted the situation to work out," he told the Michael Irvin show.

What are the chances Pac Man gets in some type of trouble this season if reinstated? 50/50?

In his victory celebration from reinstatement, in the long off season, during the regular season, after the first playoff victory in 11 years, after the Superbowl? Indifferent

Which one has the 50/50 on it?

If Pacman screws up between now and the Rapture, he deserves nothing short of prison.

what did Pacman do wrong??? Last time I checked he didnt get charged for anything and Goodell was just getting into someone elses business who he should of never of gotten in to.... If he wasnt charged by the court he shouldnt be charged in the NFL.
