Pacman Jones will wait to apply for reinstatement to the NFL.

The original plan was to file papers Tuesday, but that has changed. Jones is apparently waiting for his trade to the Cowboys to happen. "I was going to file for reinstatement but I wanted the situation to work out," he told the Michael Irvin show.

Is it me or does it seem like Pacman Jones is trying to keep his stock from rising, which might draw other team interest and delay or stop any possible trades to Dallas. This guy seems to really really want to be a Cowboy... We can only hope that desire to be here will be enough to keep him out of trouble if we do get him.

what did Pacman do wrong??? Last time I checked he didnt get charged for anything and Goodell was just getting into someone elses business who he should of never of gotten in to.... If he wasnt charged by the court he shouldnt be charged in the NFL.

Good point. what exactly has he been found guilty of in a court of law?  going along with the crowd I never checked on this.

Jones was suspended for violation of the CONDUCT policy. This means that even if he did nothing legally wrong, his conduct was detrimental to not only his team and their image but also the image of the NFL as a whole. One bad apple ruins the barrel. Like it or not, NFL players are role models and if they cant accept that responsibility then send them on their way.

Yes I am an expert and no you are not right.

thanks for the clarification. I guess I took it for granted and just assumed he was found guilty of at least a misdemeanor, but I agree the NFL must have standards for conduct etc.

Adam Jones is guilty of multiple counts of stupidity and bad judgement.

And on a totally unrelated note, isn't there a policy about what goes on the back of your jersey? Why does he have P Jones on there?

Maybe there was an A. Jones on the team as well?

What are the chances Pac Man gets in some type of trouble this season if reinstated? 50/50?

If Pacman screws up between now and the Rapture, he deserves nothing short of prison.

what did Pacman do wrong??? Last time I checked he didnt get charged for anything and Goodell was just getting into someone elses business who he should of never of gotten in to.... If he wasnt charged by the court he shouldnt be charged in the NFL.

Alot of these appear to be minor offenses, from speeding, disorderly conduct and public intoxication. And there appear to be more serious offenses such as assault and vandalism, but I do think alot of these cases did get thrown away. The most serious case is the one that involved the shooting at the club where Jones apparently beat up one a stripper, then apparently one of his entourage later came back and shot three people, paralyzing one man. Jones says he did not know the shooter, but the club said he did. Vegas charged Jones with felony coercion and also a misdemeanor count of battery. He took a plea later last year and was given a suspended prison sentence of one-year, probation, and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service.

As of right now Jones should just stay home, stay out of trouble, play XBOX and not go anywhere. He seems to just be hanging with the wrong crowd. If he comes here I welcome him, I just hope he doesn't get into any trouble. We have some great charachter guys and hopefully they'll take Jones and show him the right way to do things.

You hit the nail on the head.......  It seems that is exactly what he is doing and reports have stated he has already been signing autographs as #21 with Dallas.

Really?  Love the dedication and all, but wow...a little premature.  Again, love the dedication.

    Pacman talk impresses Goodell

    Posted: Wednesday April 16, 2008 08:27AM ET

He's gotten an extreme makeover by his agents. Hall of Famer-turned-radio gabber Michael Irvin has helped him plead his case. Even NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has admitted he is at least a little impressed by what he hears. All in all, there is a repackaged Pacman out there, just waiting to be traded from the Titans to the Cowboys. So what's the delay? Why hasn't Pacman Jones been shipped to Dallas? Consider the two owners involved -- Bud Adams and Jerry Jones. This is a Texas thing. Any would-be trade has evolved into a football version of Texas Hold 'Em.

There was tape showing that he did nothing Rodger Goodell was just getting into someone else's business and decided to suspend him for no real reason.... Pacman did nothing....

The NFL has standards and behavior requirements.  He did not meet those requirements so he was suspended.  He knew the requirements when he started playing so yes he did do something wrong.

Pacman has made it to where no matter what he's going to be a Cowboy in all honesty we could probably give up a 6th or 7th for him right now because I bet you no other team wants him now.

Looks like Jerry Jones isn't worried about acquiring him before the draft:

Here's the vid of Roger Goodell talking to Rich Eisen of the NFL Network about Pacman:

Sounds to me, that idf Pac can stay out of trouble, take responsibility for his past actions and strat to live a different life, Goodell wants to see him play again. It sounds like he may get another chance. That being said, i still think Goodell is Satan.
