    Capt. Sunshine:
The ones who are confined to a very small cell for 23 hours a day stand to gain so much more than Pacman.

Yeah, maybe, but they stand to lose 'three hots and a cot', which alot of them have never had before they came in, and don't know how to get once they get out !!!   Your tax dollars at work !!!

what is with all the comparisons to convicted felons who are in serious trouble ,  i do not believe A. Jones was ever convicted of anything ,  question and even arrested but never once was convicted and served any kind of time for what he was accused of , thier are millions of people in this country who do alot of worse things on a daily basis and no-=one is concerned about them ,  if A. Jones was any other normal blue collar guy working for a living none of this crap would be an issue ,  i for one perfer to look at it like this ,  did he intentionally go out and do bodily harm to anyone ?   NO ,  should he be held responsible for what other associates of his did of thier own free will ?  NO ,   has he made several mistakes with his fame and money ?  YES ,  but so have i and i am no where near as famous or wealthy like he is ,  and i have learned from my mistakes......   another thing to ask yourself is this ,  how many Alcholics do any of know that have not fell off the recovering wagon at least once and if not more then once.......    I personally know people who have fallen off several times and paid dearly for it ,  and once again they are back on and doing good ,  and yes as much as i hate to admit the majority of us who know an alcholic uspport them whole-heartedly ,  but we all know we all just waiting for the next fall...... My point is this - we all know , in one way or another , someone in our own live's who breaks the law , and probally more then a few times..... Does that make them any different then a famous person ,  not really , only difference is , the famous person gets all the headlines........

not sure but didnt he tackle a stripper one time? I dont know, but i agree i think that the stuff that he has done has just been hanging around with the wrong people and getting the blame for they do like that guy that shot and paralyzed that dude in the club, just cause pacman was with him doesnt mean that he was the one that committed the crime. Im so sick of Goodell playing favorites

Is anyone else here wondering why Pac hasn't been reinstated yet? I mean let's look at some things logically...

    1) Roger Goodell suspended Pac from the 2007 season around May 17th. Keyword: "2007 SEASON". His suspension should already be up by now. Now I know that he did some things wrong during his suspension to prolong it, but nothing recently...which brings me to my next point.

    2) Besides a gambling debt, which was paid in full the same day that the story broke I might add, nothing bad has been heard of from Mr. Jones in quite awhile. Look at it this way, for a little while there you couldn't watch a sporting news show without hearing something new about him. Since he's been in Dallas, you haven't heard much from him except stories about how he hopes this gets done as soon as possible and how he's working out to get back on the field. Dallas has him under such a tight leash that no one even knew he and Goodell had met until this last week.

    3) And finally, he's with Dallas. If anyone can straighten him out, it's us. Look at how Tank Johnson has become a leader in the locker room. Not to mention the security detail they've assigned to this guy. Sheesh, if they can't keep him under control I don't know what will.

I don't know about everyone else, but it just seems to me like Goodell is trying too hard to crack down on certain players and is letting too many other things slide. The Patriots and Beli-cheat got away with a slap on the wrist. What? They took away their draft pick? New England just went out and bought a better one. It just seems to me like Pac has done his time and deserves his last shot.

unfortunately i have been hearing that same omment from NFL network and espn since the owners meetings before the draft ,  and Mr. Roger ( i love new england ) Goodell has said time and time again ,  he will make a decision when he is ready and the time is right........sadly for A. Jones and the team and us fans ,  that probally will not be until right before training camp opens up........   i hope that is not the case but when thinking of Goodell & his policies ,  i am afraid of and frankly believe in the worse case scenario

The key is not to get wound up about it and focus on the players we do have, Jenkins and Scandrick who should both contribute a lot more to the success of the team than Jones and Reeves did last year.

Pretty interesting article here. No printed link involved, it is a writer citing a "league source".

    http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/06/01/goodell-unhappy-with-pacmans-return-visit-to-vegas/

As one league source advised us, Commissioner Roger Goodell is not happy that Jones was back in Vegas.  “It means Jones was in Vegas hanging out after the shooting incident and after Jones told Roger that he was changing his ways,” the source said.

"Hanging around in Vegas"  Says everything to me about how sincere this clown is to want to play football.  After the meeting with Godell he should have been home wherever that is, sitting and watching TV or lying out by his pool or at the local coffee shop having a cup of joe with his local friends.  Not this guy he takes off to the very spot that got him into the big trouble, shooting incident, unpaid markers etc.  I again say Mr. Jones, cut the losses and let him go .  He will be reinstated for so short a time before he acts crazy and is suspended for life.  I really feel that this guy is bad news for the team.

well what if the markers were from atlantic city would it make a difference then ???????? he's never been charged with a crime in New Jersey to the best of my knowledge ,  he's a grown man with money ,  at least he wasn't fighting dogs somewhere in the back country of Tenn. or Texas........  and you might be surprised how many millionaires have markers that go unpaid for months and don't pay up until lawful actions are taken , he paid the dang debt off ,  no harm was done ,  no-one got killed, injured , raped , or anything like that ,  and even if he does screw up and get tossed from the NFL after he is reinstated ,  the Boy's don't really loose anything anyhow ,  actually get another draft pick next year to benefit the loss...... win win situation baby ,  JJ kows what he is doing..........
