You can have the best coach in the league, it doesn't mean anything if the mentality of the team isn't there.  This young team needs to learn to pull together and win games when it matters, especially against division rivals and after Thanksgiving.  Until that happens we will just be a paper tiger.

Man, how is it that you can rub so many people the wrong way, so often.  In every thread?!  Maybe you need to try a different approach or count to 10 before you type your response if someone says something that you might not necessarily agree with.  Try to evaluate their point of view, maybe look at it from their standpoint.  They might not be quite correct in their statements, but that don't mean you have to belittle them or comeback with a smart, sarcastic remark.  If you disagree with them, do so agreeably.  No harm in that.  Besides, if you happen to piss off the wrong person, we won't be seeing you around here for long.  Trust me when I tell you that you might be closer to that than you think.  Just a hint !  Have a good one!

Personally, I believe we only had good enough talent to win a Superbowl for one year now. Last year we were really good. When we lost to the Seahawks, I didn't feel like we were good enough for a Superbowl anyway. We are now in the same position the Colts were in a few years ago. They had great season after great season just to come up short in the playoffs. You can't have a good team for one year and expect a Superbowl, it just doesn't normally work that way. There is too much competition at the top. Just look at what happened to the Pats. I think there are few that would argue coming into that game that the Pats weren't the best team in the league. The probablem is, there are no locks. There are no guarantees. Some people think great players always play great in big games but history shows otherwise. Peyton Manning has had bad games in the playoffs. Tom Brady didn't look so hot in the Superbowl and neither did Randy Moss. In fact, I think every great player in history has lost a few big games before. To think that they always have their best games in big games would lead to reason that great players don't usually give full effort. I don't think anyone would agree with that.

NOPE NOT AT ALL -  our day in the sun has not even came yet , everything the past 2 years was learning experiences , now with a full year under these new systems and more talent added and the increased leadership and the horrible taste of defeat in thier mouth's this team is ready to make a run like no other ever seen , they are already considered the favorite from the NFC and should be for many years to come.....

Buckle up and Hang on - It's gonna be a great ride

Now that there is a rippin' good post.  Last season was just the tip of the iceberg.  And the iceberg is the Cowboys and the rest of the league is just a big ol' boat - that's leaking and is about to sink.

Our day may not have passed us by, but if we don't solve our December Slump, it will.Just a reminder, but this is what it looked like the last two years:

     2006

    13  Sun December 3 W 8-4 @ New York Giants
    14  Sun December 10 L 8-5  New Orleans Saints
    15  Sat December 16 W 9-5 @ Atlanta Falcons
    16  Mon December 25 L 9-6  Philadelphia Eagles
    17  Sun December 31 L 9-7  Detroit Lions

     Playoffs
    WildCard Sat January 6 L 9-8 @ Seattle Seahawks

     2007

    14  Sun December 9 W 12-1 @ Detroit Lions
    15  Sun December 16 L 12-2  Philadelphia Eagles
    16  Sat December 22 W 13-2 @ Carolina Panthers
    17  Sun December 30 L 13-3 @ Washington Redskins

      Playoffs
Division Sun January 13 L 13-4  New York Giants

I see too many massively important Division games being lost, as well as "backing In" to the Play-offs. This year promises to be  better, and I hope that with a rebuilt running game we can take pressure off of Romo and the Offese to pass all the time. I believe that this is one of the factors in our late season slumps...our QB, WR and TE are all worn out from a season of nothing but passes. With a stronger rushing game, we stand a chance at a balanced offense once again, and we have won every Superbowl Title in Franchise history with a balanced attack...not a pass heavy one!

The loss to the New York Giants Super Bowl win did not take the wind out of my sail. It took the heart out of me. I wanted it to be my last outing, my last hurrah. the cowboys win it all. Well we now know the rest of the picture.

And it did not totally take me, by surprise. The Giants I remember won the division only to lose in the their first playoff game years ago. Sit it is a connection of dots, a series of events. Their first playoff win, yea would be nice.

And to think I could look the other way, and leave my "Cowboys" behind.
