Watched Chipper Jones last night.. he's batting in the 400's.. is that pretty amazing or do people regularly do that?

That's pretty amazing. Good players bat around 300 to 330. Some power hitter, (e.g. Adam Dunn), don't get good averages because they're always swing for the fences and they just want the yippity-yak yardball.
Go Cowboys, Mets, Suns, Villanova, Blue Jackets!

Actually starting to really enjoy watching games... amazes me because I never thought I could get into Baseball... learning more every day.

Can anyone tell why the American League has DH's and the National doesnt?

(hope I got it round the right way or its gonna look like Ive learnt nothing)

Edit: If Im going to ask questions I may as well get my moneys worth.. lol

What is Adam Dunn considered?..an ok player.. a good player? I only ask coz I have a 1 of 1 card of his and I want to know if its worth anything.

Dunn is a good power hitter.  He's not among the elite because he strikes out way too much and his batting average is generally pretty low, .240 to .260.  A good batting average is around .300.  If I'm talking too elementary, just let me know.  I've been a baseball fan all my life and am always happy to share info.

Have been researching teams to follow the past week or so.. has to be an AL team because thats what seems to be mostly on TV here.. maybe they have a deal or something. Has to be a reasonably big club or I will never get to see them.

Read about history etc etc.. kept narrowing it down.. til Ive got Cleveland left.

Whatcha think?.. not "bandwagoning" or anything am I?

Heh.. this might sound a bit odd mate.. but..

Ive spent my entire life disliking teams from New York, Philly and Wash.. I dont think I could ever follow a team from one of those cities.

For some wierd reason I keep thinking about the A's.. I dunno.. think I will watch a couple of games of both the Indians and the A's and decide from there.

I did watch the Yankee's v Mets last night.. good game.. well if your not a Yankees fan... lol

In my opinion, which is usually only important to me, I think you should follow the Rangers.  I know they haven't won anything in a while, but maybe next year.  I would be disappointed in you if you jumped on the Yankees bandwagon.  I'm an Astros fan.  Been following them since the early 70's.  Will always root for them.  No matter what.  Just like the Cowboys.
OK, Ellis is a bit above average.

One of my favorite players of all time is Mark "the Bird" Fidrich.  The dude was a pitcher and he was so funny.  He used to pet the pitchers mound and talk to the ball.

OK, Ellis is a bit above average.
