the Cowboys will always have a huge following regardless,so the whole HBO thing doesnt bother me that much,as long as it's not a distraction ofcourse.how do you think this would have gone over[would it have gone over?] if Bill Parcells was still here?

Bill would have told Jerry "NO" in no uncertain terms and dared Jerry to rebutle his decision.  Say what you want about Bill but he rebuilt the boys talent and he was always one for discpline on the team.  Wade is like Switzer, they're grown men let them take care of themselves.  If they could do that they wouldn't still be playing a kids game well into their 30's (all money aside).

HBO is going to be like a cancer to this team.  The hole Romo / Simpson thing, our criminal element, every bad or distracting thing will be published on the front page of every gossip magazine in the country. This won't just be at playoff time this go around.  Face it, being a Dallas Cowboy carries the highest level of pressure already.  We do not need additional media attention to add to the stress which exists just because we are America's Team.  As I stated before, this is a.....................BIG MISTAKE!

I think he would have done it, but he is by far a much diffrent coach than Wade Phillips is... But in the long run Jerry is the Owner and I think it's a great idea for them... especially for us because we get to watch our team in the spotlight and there is nothing sweeter than that....

yeah that is on thing i have to agree with i  dont really  believe  its a  distraction,  i mean this  the  cowboys  america's team   most of them are  used to the camara's the  attention.except   for the rookies. and  for  the fans it  will  be alot of   fun  to watch , cept  now iam  gonna have to get  hbo lol. Mabe  all the  extra  attention  will actually  help  them  get ready to WIN  a playoff game  or 3.

Bad really bad Its a distraction. We have enough distractions. But there is no stopping it. So get ready for a lot of negative reporting on our boys its coming

Yeah, bed idea for the 3rd time...on another note... what does anyone think that Robinson would cost us after his release from the Packers. I am not sold on his #s... but, his second year in the league he had about 1200 yards.... not much since... but, is that him, or the system? I am not sold, but I think it's worth taking a look at as a possible competitor for the second or 3rd seat... and he has return skills.

I would like to see what else comes out in the wash, but, Pat Kirwan said that Dallas should take a look at him... and he said he is still young... 6 years in I think.

    Anyones thoughts?

There are a lot of stories to uncover in the Cowboys training camp. One of which is the Romo - Simpson connection that I hope will never make it on the air! The show is called 'Hard Knocks' not 'Hard Knock-ers.'

    God don't like ugly.

Like I said before (though you probably have not read) IF I thought Glenn would play then the answer is NO. If he does not then a WR Dallas may need, but NOT Robinson. He gets in too much trouble and is on his 3rd team? (Vikings, Seattle, and GB). IF a WR cannot have success in Seattle and GB at a min, then they are not worth a grain of salt. I would like to see some development of young WRs before bringing in a risk vet.

You are right about Robinson... but, on the Glenn thing... Like Jerry stated before, it's a 50% chance he plays this season, the whole season. I see his age as a factor, and his inability to properly heal... he was a huge waste of roster space last season, and possibly is a cause for our playoff loss. One other person besides Crayton in that spot, we may have another 7 points in the game... instead, we have Glenn with 2 receptions, because he couldnt keep his feet under him. He also was suppose to be back in October, not the End of December.

If it were TO... then, we know he's a baller. He gets up for games even at 50%... that is why he did what he could in the playoffs... but he was injured more than he let on... And we did not have a threat in that Game beside Witten.

We need a threat at the #2 spot... and Patrick is damn sure not it... he proved that thoroughly ast season. He was a seventh round QB for a reason.

HBO's preseason hit reality series, "Hard Knocks", is headed back to Cowboys training camp.

The all-access show will peek into the lives of the Cowboys' players and coaches throughout camp and leading up to the team's regular-season opener. This fourth installment is the second featuring America's Team; the last time HBO documented Cowboys training camp was 2002 under Dave Campo.

What are your thoughts on "Hard Knocks" returning to the Cowboys?

Check this article out about camp cupcake (what a joke, we practiced as hard or harder than any other team in the league) and Danny Amendola. It is very interesting.

Good morning all and hot dog, we've still got this topic up. I was afraid, after avoiding the site all weekend, we would have a new topic. This topic has been up longer than that show should be on the air. I guess we'll get back to football sometime this week. Maybe we can post about whether Romo should play golf or not, that seems to be an issue with some people. There is a rumor that Goodell is actually the brother of Randle El and changed his name from God El. C'mon, re-instate Jones so we start rehabilitating him and stop playing "Who's the boss?". If this works, we can start hiring hookers and crack whores for the cheerleaders and rehabilitate them too. Next year, training camp will be in Leavenworth. Heard that the punt, pass and kick competition will only be open to juvenile offenders this year. Or we could post about the Notre Dame/Arizona State game in 2013, what do you think the spread will be?
The road to the Superbowl is full of potholes, speed traps and road rage.
