So that's why the work on Central Expressway isn't finished yet...ahaha totally joking dude...well...it's hardly "hidden" - there's always lots of growth...but there are certain...ah...income requirements also...as it is the most affluent county in the state and one of the top 20 in the country. And were you talking about the "All-American" cities? Because actually I think Plano was named as one back in the 1990's. Don't worry, I'm not one of those freakishly rich new-Mercedes-driving SMU students that buys weed with daddy's money. Living in Austin for two years as a music student has eradicated whatever little Polo-and-loafers-Republican-Baptist-convention-narrow-mindedness I ever had - which is not to say that I am against Polo clothes, loafers, Baptists, or Republicans, considering that Mike Huckabee is my 5th cousin (didn't vote for him though, didn't really vote at all). Anyway...

Still waiting to see any sports team I'm a fan of win a championship. Still waiting. STILL WAITING.

Yeah - thats an old school mafia movie w/Charles Bronson - its also a true story. Also if you like older movies and Charles Bronson check out Hard Times - CB is a street fighter during the Depression.

I think I recommeded on this post earlier, but Charles Bronson in the Mechanic was a good movie.

Gangs of New York. The real gangs that were around in the 19th century, not these silly little Italians or Latinos who try to make up for their lack of contribution to society by pretending to be cool.

Obviously you've never been far from Texas.

I've probably more well-travelled than most of the people on this site. What does that have to do with what I said?

Just humorous how sheltered and ignorant the youth of today are. Silly "little" Latino gangs? Maybe you find them funny from where you're sitting. But we're not laughing up here.

Haha, ok. Sorry, but anyone who bands together under some trite artificial banner, sells drugs, commits acts of violence, and yet tries to act all bad-ace about it...I find those people to be silly, small, and petty, or at least that's how I would describe the kinds of lives they lead. If you think it's "ignorant" or "sheltered" of me to think that, then that is quite sad for you.

However, this is a plague that involves more than Italians and Latinos.  This is a world wide epidemic that involves every race...

Of course...but we're not having a discussion on society and crime - I'm talking about all the "classic" gangster movies I've seen, which primarily focus on Italian or Hispanic gangs...geez guys, sometimes I get the feeling that if I wrote a post that said only one word, the name of some ethnicity, that you all would get upset.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what everyone got so upset about. This is about movies right? Weren't you talking about the way they are depicted in movies?

    Yep...

BigD-by pretending to be cool. lol I'm going to take a wild guess and say you were picked on by some italian or latino kids when you were in school.Cool
WOW - I posted here but I didn't read this page and post - Hey BigD you must really have problems with Italians and Latinos - funny how you forgot to mention the Irish gangs and fairyan brotherhood in your criticism of gangs. Man now I know how you got your name.
