Why are we argueing with eachother? We are all Cowboy fans and we need to unite! SB here we come!

In the Pats game, Moss went over the middle one time in Roy's direction in the first half.  Roy smacked him good on the thigh.  Moss never went to Roy's coverage zone I htink for the rest of the game.  It was also one of Reeve's better games last year.

I too hope Roy can get back to the Roy of old.

crossing patterns in the red zone are really tough to stop, especially when it's brady thorwing to Moss.  How else does Terrell score on those plays?  Do you rememebr what the coverage was oon the Moss TD?  Was it because Reeves got burnt? or he was playing his usual 10 yards off the ball?  Quite hard to cover a short crossing route against Moss when u give him a 10-15 yrd cushion.

If a long pass play, then If they are playing 3-deep, why is it on Roy to cover deep third (unless they changed formation) when Hamlin is FS?

Ok edit:  when not in goal line and the play called for moss to go 10-15 yrds over the middle, i didn't see him do so as much after the hit Roy put on him.

I've watched it over and over and over.....and Terrence Newman pushes Moss to the middle then sits, as Watson went to the flat.  Roy steps to the QB and Moss catches the ball in the lane Roy created.  It was the 1st score of the game and it looked like we were in Cover 2 with Newman playing the flat.

 ok well then, in that case, that would be roy's fault.  hehe.  sorry i just have recurring bad memories of reeves playing 10-15 yrds off the ball all the time.

 But besides that one play and a handful of others, I don't recall Moss going over the middle much where he knew Roy would be.  Would Roy be able to make a play on him if he ahd gone over the middle?  Who knows.  But I just didn't see it much in that game.  THen agian, it's not the smartest thing to do to send someone like Moss over the middle hehe.

Damn this season needs to start already lol. 

i think roy is on the chopping block if he doesnt perform better this year. one thing he needs to remember is he also has to play cover , at times he makes to many steps toward the quarterback, tackles on the running back is great but dont open up plays for the offense

im ready for this season to start i think its gonna be a good one now that we have a loaded secondary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and yes watching that loss sucked

Was going to defend him but Never mind all i can say is Roy = probowl he is that good

I really hope tho that Roy makes a turnaround this season.  I think he should practice covering TO 1-on-1 every day.  He can only get better lol, well that is unless any confidence he may have gets shattered by TO scorching him every play.

Roy's contract is so fat though. I don't really think he is on the block. I think the Boys are hoping that Henry can play his spot on certain passing packages. I just don't ever see Jerry parting ways with Roy.

Hopefully he can get his head right.

Who led the Dallas Cowboys in solo tackles last season? Who made his 5th Pro bowl in 6 seasons? Who's broken more bones than any other player in the NFL?

You know, I have been one of the BIGGEST ROY WILLIAMS supports around but eventually you are what you are...  All those things above are true but what has Roy done lately?  He made the pro bowl cause the starter and back up for the pro bowl weren't available (you know why!!!).  Led the team in Solo tackles yes, were did he  make those tackles???  No where near the L.O.S. were he is supposed to be this great players and were this defense wants him making plays filling the open gap...  Whose bones has the man broke lately that weren't HORSE COLLAR TACKLES???  Theres a reason why teams went out of their way to get ROY in man to man coverage...  They know he can't cover my two year old daughter!

This is what bothers me... Roy himself MADE THE PROCLIMATION that once BP was gone and this new system he WOULD BE BACK TO HIS OLD WAYS and be a factor again...  HE FAILED THIS PAST season and finally it has to be ROY that takes responsiblity!!! 

 This is the difference... ROMO screwed up in Seattle in the PLAYOFFS and came right out and gave the "It's My Fault speech!"  Roy gets burned and it's the MEDIA!!!  Chris Rock would love this guy....

How many big plays did he give up last season? Would people be bringing up Roy if he was making Keith Davis type money?

He didnt give up many cause he was taken out on 3rd downs, and when he had to cover Shockey in NY - Shockey had him for lunch. Stop it already - the guy can't cover - is the whole world wrong, even he himself admits it. And no- ppl wouldn't care if he made Keith Davis money cause then we could just cut him.

Well put......and when he was in early in the season I can name at least 5-6 plays off the top of my head where he blew his coverage, whether that be man or zone.
