As much as I like this guys play and I understand it's business I am now becoming annoyed with the overly high paycheck he and his agent are apparently seeking. Just sign a good deal for short term and prove your worth the bigger paycheck. then if Dallas chooses not to pay you can go elsewhere. After the first 10 million does anyone truly need more? Just my opinion.

That's just it, all normalcy goes out the window. Look at Urlacher, he is bitching over a 54-55 million dollar contract. Once these guys reach this level, in their minds YES they truly need more. 

 I see your point, sort of sad that people reach that level, again just my opinion.

Couldn't agree with you more.   I'm really not buying into the theory that we needed a compliment back.   I say when you have the opportunity to get a horse you get the frickin' horse!!!

And I too hope Felix is more than a compliment but right now I don't see it.   If we are playing for next year then Felix is the man, but beyond that I'm not sold.

No.  Running backs are a dime a dozen.

Just about every team has a good running back.  Barber isn't even an everydown 4-quarter guy.  Really nice player, but more than replaceable if need be.

Ask the Chiefs if they regret dumping all that money on Larry Johnson.  Did the Giants miss Tiki?  Who's the "great" running back for New England? 

There aren't but one or two RBs worth that kind of money, and Barber sure isn't one of them.

I, like most of you love MBIII heart, but RB's these days are a dime a dozen, he had better be damn glad Jones offered 30+ million, if he is not carefull his ass will be replaced next year.  He might get lucky and get the money somewhere else, but I doubt it, the guy pounds the ball, does not have break away speed, and no defense will respect his speed because he can easily be cought from behind.  There is probably only two backs I would even consider paying that kind of cash to right now, LT and Petterson, and I would still be cautious about Petterson, he hasn't proved he can do it again yet.

No body is worth 60 million.........

Those of you underestimating Felix Jones will be in for a big surprise this season. 

NO WAY he's good but unproven. Come on, the guy starts 1 game (which we lose) and all of a sudden he's worth L.T. money. Way too greedy, I love Barber but if he wants $60 million, he and that annoying agent of his can go ______________ (fill in the blank)
