No the Giants weren't the only great team but they got hot at the right time and we didn't.  They beat 4 division winners in a row on the road, that's impressive no matter how you slice it.

Wow, I never realized how much "last years stats" mattered for the upcoming season.  Not one single snap yet and people are arguing about last year.  Guys, we are going to be fine.  Crayton has another year under his belt and the dropped ball is a thing of the past.  The Cowboys will be a great team again this year!!!!

They have the potential to be a great Team. They just have to focus on becoming that !!

Potential that is never realized is like wishing in one hand and crapping in the other, never ends well.  We have one of the most talented teams in the NFL but not enough leadership to win when absolutely necessary and until we get that leadership we will continue to have incredible regular seasons that are "topped off" by quick exits from the play-offs.

Let's just hope Crayton does better with a missed opportunity than Vanderjagt.

Confidence is like money, hard to get but easy to lose.

This is true ! And unless Campo open up a can of "whoop ass" on Roy Williams and get's his head back in this game it doesn't look like he'll be that leader !! I would like to say I'm not worried about Hamlin & MBIII's attitude. But I would be lying if I did.

They were not a great team last year and haven't been for awhile now, great teams win when necessary and this franchise hasn't done that since 1996.

Thank you Weapon, and I am in absolute agreement with you... you tell it like it is and not some rose colored rendition... so, thank you.

Barber especially... after all, we drafted him, and for him to play this premadona roll, there is no cause for it... and if he thinks he is LT, he is sorely mistaken... he is more of a Michael Turner.

Yeah and especially since he is suppose to be our featured back ! If he isn't participating now he better at least be staying in shape or he will never make it as the starter.

Thats what I mean... seriously, Jerry already put his faith in him and let Julious go.... but now, with a year left on his deal, he wants to hold out? How does that work anyway?

Does he think he had Adrian Peterson numbers or something? Marion is good, but I do not see him as the heir apparent to Emmit. He takes a beating and that will take its toll somewhere down the line (Earl Campbell). But, he needs to be with the team... they all want to be standing at the end of the season, and if he is that stellar this year, then he will be rewarded... look at Tony!

if theres one thing that makes this seem better its that it didnt just happen to us it happened to two of the other best teams in the league

Well even the Colts went about 13-3 2 of the last 3 seasons and were quickly bounced from the play-offs.  Seasons like the one we just had don't come along often and this team needs to take advantage of them instead of pissing them away like they did.

Typical example of the old and true adage that defense wins championships.  The only season the Colts won it all their defense stepped it up in the playoffs.

Giants had the #2 ranked defense in the NFC.

Lost in all the hoopla of the NE offensive attack is the fact that they had the #3 defense in the AFC.  No, they didn't win it all, but they beat a lot of good teams to get there.  And their offense didn't look so hot against SD.  The NE defense stepped up when it counted and held the SD offense to field goals, which was the difference in the game.

OK, Ellis is a bit above average.

The Cowboys need to peak towards the end. They were believing the numbers and not taking care of business.

Having both starting CB's and both starting WR's hobbled didn't help, either.  How many teams could take hits such as these and advance?
