#34 Aaron Michell CB.  He was Roy Williams before Roy Williams

#22 Wade Manning CB.  He had a gread preseason returning punts and i love him.  he never got on the field during regular season

#83 Golden Richards WR  original white lighting

I downloaded and watched the SB against the Orange Slush last night.  What great entertainment.  I had forgotten about Newhouse throwing a TD pass to Golden Richards.  It was so great to re-live those moments again.  Hollywood was a bad motor scooter. (great special teams player, also.)  I was 12 when we won this Super Bowl.  I remember being happy that Denver had beaten the Steelers out to advance.  It was great watching the legendary White, Martin, Too Tall, Benny Barnes.  I had forgotten that Aaron Kyle was such a good CB, too.  That guy was all over the field.  I got to see Captain Crash Harris lay the wood to a few people, too.  Staubach still looked the same, poised as ever.  Young Dorsett making his moves toward the HOF.  If there are some of you that don't know, you can go to cowboysmedia.com and see some of these games.  I am headed back to the 92 season next.  Great Stuff !

I was watching The History of the Dallas Cowboys on NFL Network today.  They showed the rebuilding years from the late 80s through 1995.  I forgot how much I also was a fan of Kelvin Martin.  They showed the punt return against Philadelphia that I mentioned before --

It was on December 15, 1991 against the Eagles and the guy who tried to run down Martin was #36 for the Eagles.  I have no idea who wore #36 for them in 91, but he got decapitated by Issiac Holt.  Great hit.  Holt only stayed with the team until 1992 and was released and subsequently retired after the season, but hey... thanks for the memories Ike!

Yeah, I remember Preston Pearson he came from the hated Steelers, I met him last year, he is such a nice guy he even let me try on his SB ring. The guys I really liked from the 90s SB Cowboys were Vinson Smith and Dixon Edwards they got little pub. but they did their job week in week out. My ultimate underdog guy was Larry Brown, he went from 12th round pick to starting on all 3 SB teams and getting the MVP of SB 30.

I still owe my favorite steeler ever a beer for that game.  Neil, you're the man.

I know he is not forgotten, but why isn't Everson Walls remembered more often?  Will we ever have another DB with the interceptions he racked up?  The passing game is tenfold what it was in his day yet no dallas cowboy, not even deion, has picked off as many passes as him.  There were times when I actually expected him to intercept a pass, it wasn't hope, it was an expectation.

I can't forget Everson Walls... mostly because that traitor went to the New Jersey Giants and badmouthed the Cowboys on national TV during the Thanksgiving Day game.

Great !  This one will be alot easier.  The ones I will list are not forgotten in my opinion, though.  These are my childhood heroes.

    Robert Newhouse !!l....Powerhouse

Walt Garrison.....wanted a new pickup for his signing bonus, and got it.

Billy Joe Dupree........great hands and control

    Tony Hill.....perfect compliment to Drew

Hollywood Henderson.....before I knew he was a coke head, at least he beat it.

Harvey Martin.......was deathly afraid of chickens when he was little boy.

Cliff and Charlie........Climbed in the stands after an eagles (i think) game and whooped up on some hecklers.  Classic!!!  Man what would Goodell do about that today ?

Now I could go on and on about....Staubach, Dorsett, Randy White, but wanted to stick to some of the somewhat lesser known names that I loved.

Well, I obviously grew up with BIGDADDYBODINE.

Another non-star Cowboy that I liked was James Washington.  He was a Plan B free agent out of St. Louis (I think) after getting his degree and playing for the UCLA Bruins.  He had a great interception in the Super Bowl (1993, I believe) and was part of the resurgence in the 90s.  He left and signed with the stupid Redskins and wasn't around for the 1995 Super Bowl, but I thought #37 did a great job in the secondary.

Walt Garison - anyone remember him?  He was a for real cowboy with the chewing tobacco and all.  Tough as nails running back.  He was not a star, but he was one tough hombre who I will never forget.

Walt Garrison was a "real" Cowboy.  Back then it wasn't unimaginable to picture Garrison, Bob Lilly, Chuck Howley. etc. all wearing Cowboy hats after the game.

Another forgotten Cowboy that I actually liked was Ricky Blake.  He had one shining moment back in 1990 or 91 when he ran for what I believe was his only career touchdown.  He was 3rd string behind Emmitt Smith and got injured in that same game.  I don't remember him ever playing again.  I believe he was from the WLAF.

I liked James Washington too. I still have a big memory of him in the playoffs against the Eagles in Texas stadium when he knocked Via Sikahema's lights out on a punt return. That was my most favorite hit in all of football.

Did no one remember "The OTHER Pearson"? Preston Pearson  may have only been a relief back for Dorsett, but the he ran  like a man on a mission when given the chance. Always thought he and Drew were related...I think many people did.
