Way to go Romo and Jerry. When will we win our 1st playoff game? Been kinda like kissing ur sister the last couple of post seasons . Bring on the pole dancers!!!
Ah, back to that are we? We haven't heard much about "he who is suspended" since we posted 90 pages on him before we had him. I found one of Jones' comments in the piece today really interesting. When asked about Glenn, he was pretty non-commital and seems to be still working on a vet WR while hoping we have him back. I think the chances of him playing all season are very slim.
I hope Glenn plays but Jerry needs to keep working on getting a veteran just for insurance.
I have been going crazy trying to figure out who we can pick up as a veteran WR, with speed, that will be a complement to T.O. and the offense. I came up with two, but one will probably be suspended soon. Throw some ideas out there.
- Koren Robinson - Fast but not Terry Glenn Fast.
- Chris Henry - He is quick, but is he as fast as Ocho Cinco? He will probably be suspended soon.
Jones gave an emphatic NO to Henry yesterday. We're low on ankle monitors. What in the hell happened to the players just doing drugs? Life was so much simpler then.
The road to the Superbowl is full of potholes, speed traps and road rage.

Re: New Deals For Newman and Barber:
CouchCoach: Donnell:
CouchCoach:Nice that they could restructure those contracts but it did give more up front bonus money to Romo and Davis, so it's not a Mother Teresa act. It's also good to see TO is not focused on his contract but reading between the lines, Jerry is and should get something done before the end of the season. Not good news on the stalemate with Hamlin. He should get as much as he can, playing on a 1 year as he did, but we have a high number of key players making a lot of dough and may not be able to swing it. It is a little questionable that we will have him on the team but I can't see a player walking on 4.5M for one season and sitting out. The most questionable area on our team, in my mind, is at that Safety position and we need to shore it up or we're going to see our corners playing off again this season. We must increase the pressure on the QBs this season or there was no reason to hire Phillips. He has not delivered as promised in that area and if we play our corners off again this year, mainly because they're concerned about safety help, our D will be the same as last year. Time's up guys, it's time for him to deliver and get his butt off that 0-4 playoff record and stop making excuses. I am less in favor of his hiring today than I was the day we hired him and have really grown tired of his defense of his regular season record. Enough foreplay Wade, make us satisfied!

The best part is the mention of playing man or bump-n-run coverage. Sounds like Wade has shifted his thinking, don't really know what he was thinking just saying. We should be able to increase our QB pressure significantly. How many times did you see Ware almost get there last year? Give him that extra .5 second with good man coverage, and he should be between 16-20 this year, not to mention just the pressure he brings.
Xactly... it makes me anticipate the season even more... they'll get there this season.

For now, and I believe because of his high resilency, T.O. will be Romo's strong right arm at wideout for many more years to come given we keep "I love me some Me" by making sure he retires a Cowboy with a well deserved "We love you someYou" T.O.
TO's work ethic, that learned from Rice, will keep him playing as long as Rice did. Same kind of player mentality. The one thing we do not know is that once TO gets a ring, will he have Rice's drive to turn it up a notch to get another.
Good question! you'd think the answer is yes. A couple of rings or more on his fingers would fit his persona perfectly.

I alsready had as a reminder of my anniversary. Don't tell me you already forgot.
I have 3 Roy Williams jerseys, white, blue and a real cool black one that everybody stops me when I'm wearing it. If he doesn't get his act together, my wardrobe is shrinking. Just bought the new Adam Jones one. It's got 12 pockets to keep the bills in and a catheter kit.

How much do want for your "cool black" Williams jeresy right now. I wouldn't mind buying it for a good omen's sake.

It's cruel to be kind, in the right measure. Rocky, if I were a betting man, which I am, I would lay down a lot of dough that he doesn't change which is why I am really glad we drafted Jenkins and Scandrick and re-signed Newman. Some of these guys like Henry and Jones just can't seem break their pattern. Looks like Tank has so far but I think he's a different cat and accepted responsibility and accountability for his actions early on in the process. I believe Jones is going through the motions to get paid again and I hope I am dead wrong. If I am, please inform Mrs. CoachCoach as she has a keeping a record of these.

I did not --for a moment-- think that there was not truth in what you said... its just too close to "home" for a Cowboys fan. I do not expect a changed jersey number for Roy, or a change in address for AJones will make the difference unless they are able to change their own individual attitudes and particularly atmospheres... not as easy for many as it sounds. Listen to what Romo said about TO in this most recent interview at OTAs, Owens did it successfully--he changed, he changed his atmosphere, ie those attitudes, those things around him that made him narcissistic... it can happen, tough road and there has to be a reason/purpose/goal and help and even if it is to get money or a paycheck, don't question the motive, its the result that matters--because the change --real change does not discern the motive. So... as hope springs eternal reality often nips the buds of that spring...

Re: New Deals For Newman and Barber:
Well, buckaroos, I'm headed out to Crystal Beach, TX, for the Memorial Day weekend, better know as the Redneck Riviera. I'll catch up with ya'll on Tuesay after I recover from the headaches. Sitting on the beach and following thongs and string bikinis (and sometimes less) without moving your head, only your eyes behind extra dark sunglasses, can give intense headaches. Better than my wife telling me to put my eyes back in my head or she'll take one of them. I don't know why I go to the beach, should just hang out in the strip clubs with Pacman. I'd get in less trouble and wouldn't have to hold my stomach in so long. Have you ever had your wife ask why you don't so that at home in front of the TV? And how come you don't wear that nasty jersey with more holes than fabric and stains from all the major food groups to the beach? If you have an answer let me know, I've never thought of a good one. I just change the subject to how much prettier she is than her sisters. Ah, but I digress. Happy Memorial Day and keep good thoughts for our service people, both past and present.

If he can't change with the support system in place with our team, he never wanted to in the first place. Life is all about more chances to get it right, I hope he realizes that Jerry Jones doesn't just want him just as a player. While I'm not a big fan of Jerry's, I really feel he thinks he can salvage these guys as men and affect their lives. Maybe that's pollyanna thinking but I believe it. Just look at the list of "troubled" players we've picked up. I have seen the pain and disappointment on his face when one doesn't make it like a Goodrich or Spellman and it's not for the player, it is for the man and his family. I also think the ordeal he went through with Irvin gave him a different perspective, from other owners, on the backgrounds of these players.

I felt the exact same way when I was reading the articles. I knew we were 1 corner away from being great. I also heard talks that Roy could be moved to LB and we would get one of the rooks on the field along with Pac in some of the schemes to make the most of our speed and talent. That made me feel good to hear that Roy could be used more at the line of scrimmage. We have the talent to do so much, and now that talent has to translate into actions on the field. Can I say it Louder ---> I CANT WAIT FOR THE START OF THE SEASON.
