Went to see it the other day, thought the groundhogs were helarious. I enjoyed the movie just as much as I enjoyed other three. Am hoping to see Prince Caspian soon.

My uncles third cousins brothers mothers sister has a DVD Screener in case you are unable to go out and see the movie. Drop them a line. The movie was really entertaining, I enjoyed it. Can't take it too seriously though just a good family with older kids movie.

It was okay.  Some parts were genuinely funny.  Other parts of it I felt like I was either watching Goonies or Caddyshack.

    SPOILERS!!!!!

I just saw the movie today and while it was very over the top with the whole aliens thing; was it really anymore over the top than:

    - Germans melting and exploding after seeing a bunch of ghosts float out of a box that Moses held?

    - a Hindu guy getting his heart ripped out and staying alive?

    - people getting hypnotized by drinking the blood of a Hindu goddess?

    - an ancient medallion shooting a laser to show the location of an ancient artifact?

    - ancient stones bursting into flames at the mention of a few Hindu words?

    - a man, woman and boy jumping out of a plane on a liferaft and not even getting bruised?

    - a medieval warrior sitting around waiting by a bunch of cups for 400 years?

    - a cup giving literal immortality?

    - a guy aging into dust in a matter of seconds for drinking from a golden cup?

    - an entire cave collapsing because a cup was taken past a picture on the floor?

    - two Americans and a German destroying an ancient library and not getting in any trouble?

That's drinking from the wrong cup, thank you very much.  "He chose poorly..."

It was definitely different from the others but it was still good, will be getting all 4 movies on blu-ray as soon as possible.

I fell into the HD trap during Christmas.  I bought an HD DVD player thinking it was a good idea...then in Feb they came out with the idea to stop producing HD dvds.  The positive thing is my HD DVD player is an up conversion (converts regular dvds to 1080i) though I still think it isn't quite the same.  I'm just not ready to up and buy a blu-ray after buying the HD-player recently.

I recently bought the 3 dvd pack of Indiana Jones that was just released (didn't have them on dvd before...had them on VHS prior).  I'll have to buy the 4th one on dvd when it is released, which I imagine it will be before Christmas sometime.  I am sure they'll release all of them on blu-ray at somepoint, but I do think George Lucas is notorious for double dipping at all these releases and editions on his dvd sales.

I think all distributors and producers are guilty of that though.  I go to Walmart around once a week and the new releases always have the regular edition, the Walmart exclusive edition with some bonus DVD that is something like the making of the soundtrack, and finally the bonus double collectors' edition DVD that has stuff like deleted scenes, interviews and bloopers.  Sometimes with the bigger movies they'll come out with another updated collectors' edition months later (i.e. King Kong, Troy).  Then there's always the collectors' pack for movies that are trilogies or other series.  Those come with bonus DVDs with stuff like alternate endings, audio commentary and on-set interviews.  If a movie is REALLY lucky it'll get that vital "director's cut" later with scenes that were originally edited out put back in.  The studio usually comes up with some creative name for that version.  Sometimes they'll even be able to re-release these movies to theaters (Star Wars, The Exorcist) before releasing the new DVD with new edits, scenes and dialogue.

I personally like getting the 2-disc collections because I'm into watching the "Making of" documentaries and things like that.  I never buy the later expanded editions unless I hadn't bought a version of the DVD before... oh, except for Blade Runner, which my wife bought for me for Valentine's Day.

Can someone PLEASE explain to me how they survived three HUGE waterfalls? Any of those three would at least severely injure you if not kill you.

Still waiting to see any sports team I'm a fan of win a championship. Still waiting. STILL WAITING.

It's George Lucas, the third huge one should've at least knocked them unconscious for sure.  He's always been like that, he doesn't always make his work realistic.

The same way they survived falling off an even larger cliff on a liferaft in the 2nd movie... and landed on SNOW; not even water!  Hey, after watching ants that are so fast that they can eat and overpower people in a matter of seconds is it really that big of a stretch to survive a waterfall?

Hey, I'm sure plenty of you guys will love it. I mean, I've seen people one here who would rather watch Spiderman 3 than There Will Be Blood, so maybe it's just my taste. But I just thought it was...too...ridiculous at times. Not horrible, but it just got silly at times.

To me, most of those things are what make the movies interesting, and who knows...maybe those things really are possible.  But two people sword fighting on the back of jeeps flying through a freshly cut jungle path is what did me in.  I thought the alien thing was creative, and I thought the plot was great.  It was just that other stuff, like the sword fight, Shia L swinging through the trees with the monkeys, the 3 waterfalls, flying the Duck off the side of the mountain and landing on the tree and making a perfect landing into the water, the unbelievable (literally speaking) ant scene, and all the other stuff that made this movie cheeky compared to the other 3.

You can go overboard with the mystical stuff...that is what you're supposed to do.  But the human body still has limits, and Lucas and Spielberg lost all rationality on the things in between.

I can handle the mystical stuff by letting go of reality for a couple of hours, but I can't stand when physics is thrown out the window.  You can't fight the laws of motion and movies that ignore these laws are joy killers.
