GMO - Wade and Jerry should immediately fine MBIII $100,000 for making such a stupid remark and continue to increase the fine until he learns to keep his mouth shut.
I still doubt MBIII will ever "earn" the money he was so generously "given".
Webber, I think he's kidding. That doesn't sound like Barber. And it's always a ? whether a player will earn the money they were paid up front. Compensation on these 2nd and 3rd contracts is based on past accomplishments and hopes of delivering the same or better. Worked well for Roy Williams.
I was only kidding.
See, told you so. Now, for punishment for kidding on the forum, gmo give Webber a blue dot. This kidding must cease and desist and will no longer be tolerated. (I am auditioning for the role of High Exalted Moderator, how'd I do?)
Not bad but if you cant make paragraphs how can you be a moderator?
Mornin'gp and that is a problem. I type them in nice and tidy paragraphs, separating them by a double hit on the return key and when I hit post, no more paragraphs..all one big paragraph and no one has been able to assist me. I know it's frustrating enough for people to read my posts without this added hindrance. As far as the High Exalted Moderator job, which I understand carries a sizable signing bonus and incentives for reprimanding naughty posters, I promise to mete out justice in one sentence sentencings.
Can moderators give themselvs dots? And what is up with Ellis now?l
Reprimanding naughty posters...I think i heard my name....Good morning gentleman!!!I see that Roy' is back...or is that a deer???
LOL, morning J and until I am appolnted High Exalted Moderator, I'll just join you in the naughtyisms. We may have to work all training camp to undo the damage done at OTA's. What does that stand for Over The Air. Does every player have to discuss their grievances or other players with the media? Every time I say to myself "all right, here we go", one of these knuckleheads spouts off to the media about something that has nothing to do with winning a playoff game. Until these guys shows some heart when it counts, they can stop showing their asses. And Newman throwing gas, at 4 bucks a gallon, on Williams fire is just plain stupid. Even if you don't like Williams, a fan wants him to turn it around and a comment like that does nothing to expedite that. Of course, Newman will use the old "that wasn't my intent" of comments out of context crap, but he should have just kept his very well paid mouth shut. First Ellis takes a shot at him, now Newman. One thing for us to spear him (that's our job), but this is completely unacceptable.
And a good morning to you Coach. You are absolutely right about these fools and there lashing of the tongues...Love your analegy of fire and gas....I feel exactly as you..."PUT -UP or SHUT-UP"!!!!At least T.O ain't doing any of the talking!!!We do have those kinda things to be happy about!!!They need to stop smearing him to the media...man up and take your spearing to his face!!!
And I can remember when teams took care of their own business behind locked doors and the media had to work for a story instead of being hand fed all of this. A team that is a contender, and specifically America's Team, doesn't need to serve up their own distractions and possible divisions within that team. These guys are human and react just like you or I would when called out in public. If it stays in the locker room, it can be resolved without embarrassment. This started with Williams comments about the high priced CBs not covering for him and now Newman counters with the 'deer in the headlights" Parcells comment. And since he has departed, how about we don't use his cute little criticisms any longer?
So Coach i have a question...Who's right???I have to agree a little with Roy' on the CBs' not covering for him...but when they didn't and he was put to the test he did look like a deer in the headlights. So i have mixed emotions on the subject...if you had to blame...WHO???
Team game, I can't fault anybody but it is evident that Roy is really slow on the recognition part of the game. We didn't have two healthy starting CBs in many games. Phillips commented that Roy didn't give up any deep balls. With our pass rush and playing off the WRs, not too many teams went that route. Green Bay did which was stupid. Playing off WRs is candy to a baby for West Coast O's. Our weakness became the short or intermediate pass and I don't know which player Phillips and Stewart were covering for, Reeves or Williams.
The road to the Superbowl is full of potholes, speed traps and road rage.

I actually think its a great idea for Ellis to not practice until about midway through the training camp, just stay at home and stretch and keep your mouth shut...he has never been happy in Dallas..every year he whines and moans about something...he is a good player but how much more must we endure!

glimmerman:Glad to see Roy out there practicing, Roy took some shots at the corners...playin the blame game and now the corners are takin some shots back..i dont like the way its goin down...they need to stick up for each other...its a team and they need to act like one or just not say anything to the press...i heard a comentator on the radio this morning say Roy has 3 years left on his contract...something tells me if he dont shape up this year he wont be in a Cowboys jersey next year....if he dont look good in training camp he may be cut this year, but do we have a replacement for him?
Some posters like Watkins but I haven't see it yet. He turned into t good special teamer last season though. And we sure didn't draft one. Got another DE to LB though.

I agree, rest him up, but he's such a baby, he complaining again.....I'm pretty much down to my last straw when it comes to Ellis.....not really showing much leadership...

Yeah, and Spagnola likes him and even he's getting tired of defending him. This is three years in a row. First the move to LB, which he takes to the media, then the recovering from the injury, which he takes to the media and even sits out until he goes to Jerry's house and gets his way and now a younger 1st round pick is getting more of his reps and he takes it to the media. Why does he think we drafted Spencer in round 1? We've got share backs and now share OLB's which is a benefit to the TEAM. My problem with him is it's never about this isn't the best for the team, its all about him and always comes down to $. That and he uses the media to try and get his way. I hope he sits home, Spencer takes his job and one of our young LBs moves in and gets more playing time. I've heard all from Ellis I care to hear for the rest of his, hopefully short, career as a Cowboy. I have never heard a player walk out because he's not getting the number of plays he thinks he should and vowing not to return until he does. Ellis is not only not a leader and never has been, he is the opposite and I'm really glad we got Zach now.

I guess there wasnt alot of good ones in the draft this go around...Is it Watkins that is the tall one that likes to hit or am i thinking of Hamlin? By not picking up a saftey we are gonna be putting alot of eggs in Roys basket this year, everyone in the league knows he cant cover and they will single him out this year even more...hopefully we will get a GOOD pass rush this year and our new found corners can shut some wrs out...that will make Roy look good...lol
