Kobe is a great player but I really hope all the talk of he is the 'next' Jordan will finally stop.  Again he's a great player but will never be what Jordan was.

We live to fight another day I don't like the odds but here they are it's been a good series and an over achieving post season for us at least if we go out we go out swinging in 6 or 7 games

Not a good postseason unless you win the championship especially being the #1 seed in the west. The Celtics definitely want it more and Kobe can't do it by himself.

Well considering what most Laker fans expected at the begining of the year I say we did pretty good for our selves i didn't expect us to have the year we had and i certainly didn't expect us to be in the finals this year we way overachieved what was thought of us at the start of the season

Well after the Gasol trade if you didn't expect to make the finals you don't have much faith in your team. But since the Lakers play soft D expect this to happen to them the next few years. The Celtics might actually be better next year now that they know what it takes to win. I picked the Celtics in 6 and I knew that Kobe and the Fakers couldn't win it all.

Well that's that 2-9 against the C's and the worst part is I knew it was over by the start of the 1st quarter

Please just cause Gasol went to LA didn't mean that it would work right away it was a good surprise that it did. The Celtics might be better now that they have a year together but if the Lakers are healthy next year as in not missing their starting Center expect them to be much better too. If we had Bynum playing this would have been a different series but we didn't and the Celtics won hopefully we'll see this final again next year with our real starting lineup.

Haha Bynum wouldn't have made that big of a difference. Before this beat down I didn't hear a single Faker fan even mention Bynum not playing. Everyone thought they'd just win a championship easily. Kobe isn't Jordan as we saw, and he can't carry a team by himself. Great defense won out like it always does. If they meet next year look for the Celtics to repeat.

    Biggest beatdown in Finals history.

Bulls beat the Jazz in '98 by 3 more pts than than last night...

Bottom line is that if they were really as dominant as everyone pretends they are, they wouldn't have been pushed to game seven against a #8 seed that didn't even have a winning record, they wouldn't have pushed to another game seven against Cleveland, and, if they really want to claim the biggest beatdown in Finals history, they would have swept the Lakers.

Still waiting to see any sports team I'm a fan of win a championship. Still waiting. STILL WAITING.

Oh come on 3 7 footers makeing up your frontline is gonna make a world of difference Bynum's rebounding and shot blocking also we could have had Odom on Pierce and Kobe on Allen which would have taken away a big matchup problem having Radmonavic and Pierce. I had always been saying that the C's were gonna be the hardest team the lakers had faced in the playoffs I did not think that they would win it easy from the start I said it would take 7 games to beat the C's. If we meet up next year when we have our Center the Lakers will be much better than they were this year and this year they weren't that bad pushing the C's to 6 games.

I agree however, I don't think people give Cleveland enough credit.  this is where Lebron is better than Kobe (go ahead and beat me).  I think Lebron inspires his team more than Kobe.  Kobe just isn't a natural leader.

What was the worse beat down the Celtics last game victory or the Boys victory over the Bills in SB XXVII?

Definitely the Celtics beat down of the Fakers. A lot of people picked the Fakers to win the championship and to see them lose like that was terrible. I would have given it to the Cowboys but since we didn't get that last TD which would have set a SB record its just not enough.

My favourite play of the game had to be when Pau Gasol caught a pass and turned to shoot but Garnett put his hand on the ball and Gasol was screwed.  Glad to see Garnett is still one of the strongest players in the NBA even at 30.
