Yes I ALSO want to believe that it will be a series to watch and remember.

My heart lies with the Celtics, for no other reason then sentimental. But my gut say lakers in 6.

Sam Cassel will have to play his magic, but the age factor will catch up with him for sure. Ball control and keeping it away from the Lakers is a must. and getting a score every time down the court. Thats all, and the tide can turn. I hope. I HOPE.

    TODAY IS THE DAY!!!

Wel her we go,,, and isn't about time there will be something to see. Well yea I know you have baseball, and a little soccer. Thats all cool. Will wait for the World Series for baseball, and paper headlines for soccer, thank you.

But the NBA Finals, ahh baby. It makes my heart go giddy up, and my blood bounce. This is not so much a battle of the powerhouses or dynasty's. That would have been Pistons vs Spurs. And not necassarily the young guns. That would hae been Cavs vs Hornets.

No we got the Classic, the Rolls Royce against the Benz or Volkswagon or whatever car may have come from another country, driven by an american superstar helped with a Spartan(if i may) of help. Odom, Fiischer and the immortal Walton. Oh that is his son is it not. Use the force "Luke".

And the Celtics, well hardworking motorrunning stable of stars slash role players playing for the common goal. The Ring. What more I could say except I am ready, and to pun a phrase 'no popcorn here, just beer'. PUMPPPED UP. Let's play ball.

Hope it is no sweep for the lakers. But yea it looks that way.

Me I am rooting for the Green. Be mean, be ready cause they only wear Yellow,,,,,,they do not bear the streak on their back.

WTH, Vlade Divac? I don't think Vlade could have outplayed Kobe like Pierce has been doing. And how about Ray Allen, that reverse off the back board was sweet, reminded me of Jesus Shuttlesworth.

how could you even compare a Pierce to a Divac.

No I think Pierce is in a class all by himself, he seems unorthodox,  out of place and at times even mediocore. But ther he is getting his 20 points plus every night. And now there starting to admit he can play defense.

Pierce is top 10, easy.  He's always been great but didn't have any talent around him.  KG makes all the difference, and he prefers being the 3rd scoring option.   Man, is he quick.  He reminds me of David Robinson.

Vlade was a decent center, no more.

Once again, the difference in a Championship series is the defense.  Just like in the Super Bowl and WS.

OK, Ellis is a bit above average.

Belicheat and Shady Brady only wish they were as classy as Larry Bird, Bill Russell, Bob Cousy, and Red Aurebach. Go Celtics, even though I have no vested interest in the NBA Finals and haven't watched the NBA Finals since 2005.

How about them CELTICS, who woulda thunk it. Not me, yet here we will be on Fathers Day.

Can you say "Elimination Game" to the Three.  The NBA needs another week of this. It could go 7.

Fixed?  Thats what they say at work also.

I only agree that the refs do not shoot free throws. if the player throws the game, the ref should catch it and pass it on.
