    Ronsite81:

I have autographs of 286 different Cowboys players from 1960 to the present.

But, the most unusual piece I have in my shrine is a bar of soap shaped like a football with the Cowboys helmet on it from the late 70's in it's original package.

Wow, that's a lot of autographs.  I dare you to list them all.

    Just kidding.

How about a few of the more obscure ones from 1960 ?

Gene Baab, Richard Bielski, Tom Braatz, Byron Bradfute, Bill Butler, Frank Clarke, Fred Cone, Mike Connelly, Gene Cronin, Fred Doelling, Fred Dugan, L.G. Dupre, Mike Falls, Bob Fry, Melwood "Buzz" Guy, Don Healy, John Houser, Bill Howton, Ed Husmann, Walt Kowalczyk,  Eddie LeBaron, Don McIlhenny, Ray Mathews, Don Meredith, (NOT so obscure)  Jack Patera, Don Perkins, Duane Putnam, Dave Sherer and Jerry Tubbs.

Not too many names that are readily associated with the Cowboys, huh?

Chris Cooley gave me his own Pro Bowl visor and had TO, Witten, MBIII and Romo sign it!  Of course, I had him sign it too!

The oldest thing I still have is a 4" round button, with "Dallas Cowboys" around the outside and the helment (with single bar facemask) in the center.  It was pinned to a Cowboys jacket I got for Christmas in 1970.

Oh boy, is this topic right in my wheelhouse. I hoard all kinds of Cowboys memoribilia. My favorites, though, are a Doomsday poster and the book "Hearing the Noise" by Preston Pearson. Unlike dyhrdfan, though, I was not able to hang onto these since childhood. I had the poster when I was a kid, but it got lost along the way to adulthood. I found it about 7 or 8 years ago on eBay and paid dearly for it.

I remember going to the library with my mom when I was a kid and I checked out "Hearing the Noise." It was great and I thought about passages from it over the years as I played football and then even later in life, when situations would come up that reminded me of ideas from the book that can be related to everyday life. In 1993, before the internet and eBay, my mom went to a used bookstore and they searched for it, found it, and she ordered it for me as a birthday gift. I treasure it. I'm not that into autographs, unless I happen to personally obtain it, but Preston signing my book is on my "bucket list."

Similarly, I bought a "Tom Landry and the Dallas Cowboys" comic book on eBay that I remember reading at my grandmother's house. Great memories, great memoribilia.

The Ring of Honor is great, but put his name where it belongs - on the OUTSIDE of the stadium.

I have a decent collection, I have an autographed Football of the whole team from 97 (Yes everyone that was on the team including the coaches autographs are on he ball).I got some nice stuff from Bob Lilly last year, he signed a football for me. I also work with Charles Haley's brother and I met him once he gave me an autographed pic and all of his trading cards which he autographed. Preston Pearson autographed a Sports Ill. for me (The one with his pic on the cover vs the Rams in the NFC Champ game).

My most cherished Item is a gray Stetson Cowboy Hat with a big Star on the front a really nice hat band and blue feather (I have it on in my avitar). My Dad bought this hat for me just before he passed away, it's an original for sure and I have worn it to every Cowboy game I have attend (Home and away) People go nuts over it (Except in Chicago, and who cares what they think), some guy offered me $1000 for it at a Game, I told him no way buddy I'll be buried with this hat on.I 'll never have enough Cowboys stuff thats for sure.

Charles Haley, the only man in the history of football as a player with 5 Super Bowl Rings, and three of em were with The Dallas Cowboys !!!!

The most talked about item would be a 25th Anniversary Coke bottle (still has the coke in it) which lists out the each of the previous season records on the back.

My most treasured would the Emmitt Smith plate from Danbury Mint which came out after he broke the rushing record. The plate displays about 20 different photos of significant runs during his career.

My oldest, original (as opposed to purchased later on eBay) piece of Cowboys memorabilia is an unopened liter bottle of Diet Dr. Pepper from 1980 that commemorates the retirement of Roger Staubach.

I have books, magazines, and programs that are older than that, but most were purchased long after they first came out.

I used to have an original (vintage 1963) white jersey with the blue star on the shoulder (I forget what number it was) that I purchased from Brad Sham's "Big League Threads" back in the early 80s.

Somewhere I've saved the original newspaper inserts for the 1966 NFL Championship Game against Green Bay, and the insert for the '67 Ice Bowl.  I also have the original inserts for SB V and SB VI.

Although not strictly Cowboys-related, I do have a complete run of all 41 Super Bowl programs, and I have every Cowboys media guide back to 1960 (and for the heck of it, I also picked up a media guide for the '52 Texans somewhere along the way).
