I just hope he proves me wrong and keeps his nose to the grindstone and actually plays well enough to win Comeback Player of the year for 2009.

you and me both bro...it could go either way..i am thinking if he is smart he will hang out with the right players to keep him out of trouble...plus the Cowboys organization are pros at dealing with troubled players...but some players never learn, i am hopeing he realizes this is his LAST CHANCE...

Nah I know guys like him, they won't change unless they want to, no matter what's at stake. Sometimes they have to lose everything before they realize that they need to change.

That's kinda what I've been wondering, Weapy.  Did he get close enough to the bottom?  Most have to hit bottom before they change.  Being kicked out might have done it.
OK, Ellis is a bit above average.

Adam Jones was back in Las Vegas on Thursday, cooperating with authorities in their investigation of that notorious Minxx strip club incident a year ago during NBA All-Star weekend.

The Las Vegas Sun has lots of color in its account of his grand jury appearance. A couple of observations:

    1. The Sun apparently hasn't gotten the memo about the whole non-operative Pacman nickname.

    2. As a person of size myself, stripes might not be the best look for Jones bodyguard Robert Reid.

Hopefully by Judges refering to him as Pacman, will make him more motivated to get rid of that image

I actually had a dream the other night of Pacman picking off McNabb first play of the game and returning it for a TD on MNF in the home opener. Now wouldnt that be all over SportsCenter?

That would be great. I can't wait much longer. I've already been given Xanax for anxiety.
2008 is the year of the Cowboys!

Where did it say that the Judge called him by that name?   I really doubt that name was ever used in the court-room, at least not to address him.

And that game is the first live game I get to go to. I would definately be moist after that.

IRVING, Texas (AP) - Adam Jones has been cleared to play for the Dallas Cowboys this season.

The cornerback-kick returner formerly known as "Pacman" was suspended all last season, when he was with the Tennessee Titans, because of an accumulation of arrests and legal problems. He was traded to the Cowboys in April, then allowed by commissioner Roger Goodell to join the team in training camp and in preseason games.

Goodell, however, was still waiting to decide whether to let Jones play in the regular season. That news came Thursday, hours before Dallas' final preseason game.

"It feels good man, you know, to get a second chance and I just have to take advantage of it," Jones told the Dallas Morning News. "First and foremost, I don't want to let myself down, definitely my little girl down. I'm thankful for Jerry [Jones], the fans in Dallas and my teammates for believing in me. I need to keep doing what I've been doing to get reinstated, staying with myself and my teammates and staying away from those knuckleheads and just stay focused."

Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
