ONE! 2006 New Year's Day vs. St. Louis Cowyboys lost 20-10. But Bledslow was still playing. Got great seats rigt behind the uprights for cheap online. We also were right by the tunnel where they blow up the giant helmet. Paid $100 total for 2 seats in the lower level. :) I am glad that I got to see TX Stadium at least once. Hopefully we'll be able to see the new one too.

I have been to several UT Vols home games, but still haven't realized my life long dream of seeing the Cowboys play, or even meeting one of the players, at this point I may have to wait till I retire and that will be awhile.

Re: Who can afford to see a live game?

I myself have been to only 2 NFL games.  Shamefully I must admit, the first game I went to was in Oakland, with the Raiders facing the Chargers, but at least I didn't have to pay for the ticket, the ride, the parking or the beer (biggest expense of the day).  The seat were pretty good, 45 yard line, field level row 10.  Not bad for a free-bee.  The second game I got to go to was the Cowboys in San Francisco in 2005.  Of course for those who remember, the Cowboys trailed until the middle of the 4th, then they won the game (the Jose Cortez incident that got him throttled by Larry Allen game).  It was great walking out the that stadium with all those crying, whiny, 49er fans.  But this year will be my most prized game.  Me and my son will be attending week 15 Sunday Night game against the gnats, in what will be the last NFC East opponent to ever play a regular season game in Texas Stadium.  This is something I swore I would always do before I died, well it's this year or never.  Hate living with any regrets, so I said, "what the hell, I'm going".  For me, it's has had to be enough to see the team I love, on TV, but this year it just won't work for the whole season.  Game tickets are bought and I just need to book my flight, but I do have until Dec. 14 to find a flight.  After being a fan for the last 38 going on 39 seasons, it will be my most memorable trip and I'm sure my most memorable game I will always see.  I was too young to go to the Cotton Bowl when they played there, but I don't think that it would even compare to the history and glory of Texas Stadium.

Just remember, the best day of all is "DOOMSDAY" Bleeding Silver and Blue since 1970.

Have fun mr cowboy. I loved the Cotton Bowl and hated the move to Texas Stadium Guess it was because I watched my first Cowboys game at a very young age at the Cotton Bowl

Live in NJ so I've only made 2 trips to Dallas, a loss to the Browns and a win last season over GB.

Went to the Meadowlands to see the Boys beat the Midgets last season.

Planning a trip to Green Bay this season to see the Boys in Lambeau!

Was hoping to get tickets to the new stadium but the PSL's are HIGH!

Re: Who can afford to see a live game?

I have been to 3. All have been the last 3 years in Carolina.

The first game I sat  2 rows from the top in the upper deck in the corner of the endzone and got tickets at face value on ticketmaster before they sold out. (They sold out in 10 minutes)
2nd game I sat in the last row in the upper deck at the 45 yard line for $300.00. Got tickets on Ebay. Ticketmaster sold out in 5 minutes.
3rd game was last year, I paid face value for club level seats. Club level 341 row 7 for $260.00. Got tickets on ticketmaster before they sold out. Tickets sold out in 15 minutes.

I am heading to Dallas twice this year. Once for the Redskin game on September 28 and then for the regular season home finale against Baltimore. I actually paid for the tickets for the Baltimore game already using my points on my NFL rewards card.....

    ...that was nice.

And I have full intentions of purchasing 1-2 PSL's. Can I afford PSL's? Not really, but as someone once stated on this thread...

    Where there i$ a will there i$ a way.

I have been to dozens of NFL games and  [:'(] I have never seen the boys play.  Pathetic, I know.

I've been to a few at Texas stadium and have seen them play a couple of times in DC when I was stationed up that way when I was in the military (I would have seen them in Philly but would have feared for my life).  I am a season ticket holder now, though I must admit that I sell half my games each year.

Re: Who can afford to see a live game?

I 've been to many Cowboys games over the years I don't know the exact number, mostly vs. Redskins.  My first game was Thanksgiving '74, the Clint Longley game.  Cowboys vs. Redskins is where my father and I bonded.  My parents were divorced and I didn't see my dad much in my early years but starting in 1974 we would go to the Cowboys game every Thanksgiving, a tradition that lasted into the early 80's.  About 4 years ago I became  a season ticket holder and revived the tradition with my younger brother (We lost dad in 86) and have attended the Redskin game every year and will be there again Sept. 28.

Next season, I refuse to pay the exorbitant prices JJ is asking for season tix in the new digs, but I will be at the Cowboys vs. Redskins game.  It may cost the same as '08 season tix for me to see that 1 game but I will be there.

Re: Who can afford to see a live game?

Watched them at the Vet in Dec 91

NFC title game in SF in 92

A the LA coliseum in 92 (90+ thousand in the seats)

again in SF in 96??? Not sure if year ir right... dallas wins in OT

I just bought 3 tickets for the Eagles at texas stadium on MNF.

    300 per ticket x 3 = 900

    RT air to Dallas 265 x 3 =795

    Car rental 100  -------------100

     Hotel 200------------------- 200

So I am up to about 2k, but this is a once in a lifetime deal since the Stadium goes away after this season.
