I know that, but I'm just focusing on his days as the starting QB.  I mean, even Bernie Kosar has a ring as a Cowboys QB right?

I actually don't think Danny White was that bad, but is always going to be associated with making dorky faces and losing a few big games.

To be fair though, Testaverde wasn't brought in to be our starter. He was supposed to be our Back-up, but Carter got busted for Pot, Henson wasn't ready/good enough...Testaverde did a pretty good job overal, especialy considering that Romo said he learned a great deal from the veteran.

So, is that why Romo throws at least one INT per game? He learned it from Vinny.

That's what Romo himself said. But I think he was talking about Testaverde's work ethic. Vinny came here to be a back-up and mentor...he did a pretty darned good job for a QB in his 40's, thrust into a bad position behind a horrible line.

My favorite Vinny Testaverde moment was when he blew the Steelers game by fumbling without being hit by an opposing player.  Nice job protecting the ball Mr. Veteran QB.

I still don't quite understand the "genius" Bill Parcells' decision to leave him in after the season was blown.  Not that Drew Henson was going to be a star, but at least give him a chance rather than staying with the guy who has had chance after chance ever since getting the stuffing kicked out of him against Penn State in the Fiesta Bowl almost 25 years ago.

I always find it rather ironic that people bash on Danny White, and praise Tony Romo. Those records that Romo broke last year that everyone uses as a measuring stick for how good he is, were Danny White's records. Records he set after Staubach and his two Superbowl winning seasons, records that stood through Aikman, and HIS three superbowl winning seasons. White was actualy a very good QB, playing behind an aging line, throwing to players past their peak years. Sure , he made mistakes...but he was a PUNTER!

I can't bash White for being a record setting QB who just couldn't win the important ones, for fear of kismet since we currently have a record setting QB who has trouble winning the important ones. (Insert Twilight Zone theme here)

Danny White broke my heart as a kid but he is certainly not the worst DC QB.  Not even close.

Danny White's stats are so overrated. Very Jon Kitna-ish. The only reason they held up through the Aikman years was because of Emmitt Smith. Danny was never on Aikman's level. Neither is Romo, yet.

    Aikman's gonna throw, deep slant. Caught, 35. HARPER'S BREAK'N AWAAAYYY! HARPER'S GOT MIDFIELD! HARPER'S GOT THE 40, HARPER'S GOT THE 30, HARPER'S GOT THE 20, HARPER'S GOT THE 10.......

Let's be honest though -- another huge reason that Aikman's numbers weren't huge was because he was also a lot more injury-prone than both Danny White and Tony Romo.  Aikman was injury-prone ever since his days starting for the 1985 Oklahoma Sooners and I remember him getting injured just about every season he was in Dallas except for 1992.

I don't think Danny White was fantastic, but his career sure kicked the crap out of Jon Kitna's.

I've been frustrated by a few QB's over the years. Pelluer comes to mind - and I have a Starting Lineup of him in my trophy case! haha. Of these QB's, though, I have to go with a tie between Chad Hutchinson and Drew Henson. We're done signing former baseball players, right?

The others on the list that frustrated me don't bother me as much as these two, because I never expected much from them to begin with. Perhaps through no fault of their own, expectations were heaped on these two and they fell miserably short.

    2) Vinny Testaverde -- Thanks Parcells.  No wonder you're a "genius".  Testaverde wasn't worth anything when he was young, let alone when he was in his 20th year.  While I loved his touchdown pass to Issiac Holt in 1990 I hated his ability to fumble WITHOUT BEING HIT in a loss to the Steelers.

I was at that game...I was furious when that happened!!!  They could have won that game if he didn't fumble the ball.  Good call on that one.  Horrible QB...what was Bill Parcells thinking?

To be fair though, Testaverde wasn't brought in to be our starter. He was supposed to be our Back-up, but Carter got busted for Pot, Henson wasn't ready/good enough...Testaverde did a pretty good job overal, especialy considering that Romo said he learned a great deal from the veteran.

I agree.  I never expected much from Vinny but in my eyes he had as good a tenure in Dallas as Bledsoe.

Danny White killed me softly throughout my childhood, but he is no where near the worst IMO

Ryan Leaf can't be cause I don't think he ever started

I gotta go with Drew Henson.  This guy started over Brady in college and was suppose to be the next Aikman for us!  I never seen it.  Bledsoe is a close second, I can remember soooo many costly INTs!  The Jags/ Seattle/ Philly.....and then the sacks!  i would literally scream at the TV!  "Throw the ball away"

How many starts did Steve Pelluer have?  Quincy Carter?  Chad Hutchinson was awful, but at least he didn't start a full season.

In 12 seasons, Aikman missed something like 27 games. Not sure if that is injury prone or not. He did get killed that 1-15 season. Think he only started 11 games that season.

I agree that Danny isn't the worst.

    Bledslow was pretty bad.

I do remember that!! I remember too, that somehow Madden didn't update their game and he was still the starter if you bought Madden ?? Whatever version it was.

I had to beat a friend of mine with Banks as the starter, LMAO.
