Hello all.

 Longtime lurker, finally figured I should introduce myself.

My name is Scott, and I'm from Ohio.I'm currently self-employed as a Graphics Designer.

 

I jumped on the Cowboys bandwagon after the '95 Superbowl vs The Steelers.My dad was a staunch Pittsburgh fan, and I was a little rebel.

During Dallas's declining years I was too stubborn to jump off.

I've stayed with the team through Michael having his career ended, Emitt being traded, the coming (and going) of Rocket Ishmail(sp?) and Eddie George,

Vinny, Quincy Carter, Bledsoe and now of course Romo & company.

 

I'm a staunch supporter of Roy Williams31,38, 400 I don't care what he changes his number to, I've got his back.

His was the first jersey I bought, the first cap I wore and ya...

 

Basically I'm pretty easy going, not here to start trouble and like the rest of the you I am really interested in what this year has in store.

Your putting yourself on an island with that statement, in these forums.  There are very few who still support him.   I myself am a little peeved at Roy.  I hope he can turn it around, so I am gonna give him the benefit of the doubt til a few weeks into the season.  I want the hitter in him to return.  Make them think twice about anything in the middle of the field.  Anyway, welcome aboard, you little rebel, you !!!!    LOL

I do not want to turn an introduction thread into a debate about #38, seen enough of those locked.

But speaking in general, we as fans should not be put "on an island" for our support of a current member of our teams roster.

Now granted I am not blind, he certaintly did have an off year in '07-08 but he, as well as the rest of the team deserve our support through the good times, as well as the bad.

For better or for worse he is a Dallas Cowboy.

 

 In any event, thank you again for the welcome.

Hey man, no worries on you supporting Roy.  You are allowed to do so until he is no longer a Cowboy as far as I'm concerned.  I do hope he returns to his old self and has better years than the previous two, but I admire his new instilled sense of faith...perhaps it will encourage him to not only be a better football player but an over all class act and a better role model in the NFL for future generations.  All of us will see how Dave Campo and co have tackled the issue and hopefully have corrected his slump.  Ultimately, we're all rooting for him to improve.  Hopefully he'll improve tremendously and prove his critics wrong this season.  I'll surely welcome that.

 Welcome aboard to this site and I hope you enjoy the camaraderie amongst fellow Cowboys fans.  We all may share different opinions on different players or subjects on the team, but we all have a common goal: the love of the Dallas Cowboys and the desire to see them win.

I'm a big fan of Roy too.  He was the 2nd jersey I owned (the first being J. Jones.  Unfortunate, I know.  Thankfully, I have my new Romo jersey to start the year!).  I'm a little frustrated with him, but I'm really REALLY hoping that he'll get back to his hard hitting ways.  I really want him to make people think twice about cutting across the field.

Anyway, welcome!  TGIF to the rest of you!

I'm right with you. To many "fans" around here seem to be more worried about how much Williams makes than his play on the field. I guess his salary justifies their hatred. I too look foward to a 6th consecutive Probowl year from our all star Strong Saftey.

Cool, I'm a Cowboys fan cuz my uncle was a jerk and he was a Steelers fan.  I was stubborn and started rooting against him ever since Jan 1976.  Welcome to the site.

nice sig! I too am a strong supporter of #38. look to having great conversations about the Cowboys with you.

Here is something interesting...I was on ebay today and saw that some are selling Roy Williams #38 jerseys already.  They were pretty expensive (more than what I'd be willing to pay) but it won't be too long now before that trend begins to follow.  Would you buy a new #38 jersey or keep the #31 jersey you have, considering Mike Jenkins is taking that number?
