    Question?

Long time Cowboys fan and I am taking my Family to see our first game in Texas Stadium(been to away games but never in Texas stadium).  I read the Fan Info and it says cameras are permitted, but not with extended or zoom lenses?  I was in the process of purchasing a camera, because the last game we went to the picture quality was horrible and I had NO ZOOM on the little digital camera we took.  Can anyone tell me what are some of the cameras that you guys take to the games?  Size?  Model etc?

    Re: Question?

I think when they say "Zoom Lense" they are talking about the 8-12 inch lenses you can put on the camera to zoom in with like 50X optical zoom.

You need to get a 7-8 Megapixel camera with a 10x optical zoom but only if you wanna drop at least $250 on a camera. I spent $130 on a 7 megapixel cannon with 3X optical zoom. It takes HD pictures and great panoramic shots. Also, I wanted to make sure I got something small as possible. It sucks when you have a big bulky camera in your pocket while trying to actively watch the game.

Get a camera that is slim and lightweight as possible.

    Good luck.

    Re: Question?

I have a Kodak EasyShare Z740, which my husband got for me with a photo-printer docking station for around $300.

I've had it for about 2 years now, and I love it! It is has a 5.36 megapixel resolution, 10x optical zoom, built-in flash, and LED viewer as well as the tradition kind. It can take still shots and video clips, which are stored on standard SD cards that makes transfer to PC a piece of cake. (But then so does having the docking station. LOL) And the camera runs on double-A batteries, which makes it very convenient for use during family vacation trips and such. I used it during a tour of Texas Stadium, and I plan to have it around my neck at this year's Thanksgiving day home game against Seattle.

(PS. After I showed my Dad the pictures and video of the Texas Stadium tour and last summer's vacation, he took his new Sony digital camera back and bought a Kodak camera like mine, only I think he bought the next grade up from the Z740. I can't recall the letter name of it, but his is black instead of silver and a bit better on the megapixel resolution.

I really appreciate the Help.......too bad I already purchased the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5K(Black) before reading your post.  But it seems to be a pretty good camera too?

I went and looked up your camera, and it's like the original camera I was looking at and thought was too big!  I was looking at a Nikon that had a 15X optical Zoom, that was about the same price as the camera I purchased......but like I said I thought they would say it was too big!   Might have to return it!!!!!   But the panasonic I bought is small sleek and pretty nice to be a point and shoot.
