Re: Which Cowboys greats should be inducted into the Hall of Fame next?
Did Peyton Manning get cut from his team prior when he couldnt win the big one?
I don't know why some fans still don't think tony is the real deal.
I love my dallas Cowboys!!!

I agree with you, I think it was more just a what if scenario. But I don't think it will matter because he is the real deal, he just needs to quit chasing no talent sluts and keep his head in the game. That playoff loss was not his fault, it was a team loss, and neither was the one in seatle, the officals stole that one.

Tony will be fine. While the QB is the critical piece of the puzzle, with exception of the Patriots, leaning on that player too much will decleat any team. Manning got a ring when they got a running game, same for Elway, Steelers and the Giants used the running game to establish themselves and look what happened to the seahawks when Holmgren announced they were a passing team (he didn't have much choice). Roger and Troy had great running games and defenses. Tony didn't lose those playoff games, he just couldn't win them by himself.
The road to the Superbowl is full of potholes, speed traps and road rage.

It won't be Terry Glenn...I was unfortunately right again...Rest in peace Terry....Your career is dead if you leave Dallas....Enjoy the marvelous sunshine and glorious weather...Cuz it ain't rain'n on you anywhere now...Just think... you could been a "Rainmaker" Terry...Now your gonna be a home maker....I wish there were a topic,or subject to discuss so i don't have go solo on these missions...
Had to buy a new puter today mine died last night it was only 10 years old And i think Glenn is done hope not but it looks like it
hey gp... I had to buy a new computer on tuesday night because my old one crapped the bed too... just like Terry Glenn. Oh well, out with the old and in with the new! So lets go shopping for a reciever!
Morning T, the stores are closed.
When do they reopen... we should have someone camped out in line!
I think they may reopen towards trainning camp, when alot of teams will start making cuts. As far as the high end stores, A) I doubt we can afford to shop this year, and B) there is very little if any merchandise.
I told T and j too, they will just not listen. Glad we didn't trade for Chad? We're either linked to players with bad ankles or bracelets on them.
What about the outlets? Their has to be something on the sale racks... hell, Crayton would be on the buy one get one free rack, so I believe alot of others are a step up, or would at least try. I still think that Hurd shoould be #2 before Crayton... if we are not going to get anything.
I don't disagree with you T, but the problem is we don't know what we are going to get out of Hurd, Austin, and Stanback. I was a big proponent of getting another receiver also, until I got over the loss and looked at our roster and what all is out there, I don't see anything that is for sure an upgrade over the potential we have now. I say lets go forward with what we got, and then we will see. We can still make a move as far as free agents or trades after camp, or heck even after the preseason starts. We will look, just not now cuz there are too many unknowns. We don't have the cap space to have too many ok or unknown recievers, we already got three. Roy is not on the market, Chad isn't either as he is no longer threatening to hold out, the only two are Burress and Boldin. Boldin is too expensive, and Burress would cost a fortune to pry from the Giants, simply because we are the Cowboys and they would rather eat their own spleen than help us.
That spleen thing is hilarious. My point is Crayton is terrible. And we expect a terrible #2 to play this season...l again... and let us fall apart in December? This is unacceptable. But, I hope you are right that we get something that falls out of training camp. I don't want Johnson or Boldin or Williams... I want something better than Crayton (not because of the playoffs... but because he is pretty bad).
Like I said... if all we have is what we've got... then lets try Hurd at #2, he cannot possibly be worse than Mouth!

T, I have a question for you. Do you trust the coaches? Do you trust Garrett and Sherman to make the right decision at that #2 spot? If you do, then don't worry about it. And I came down really hard on Crayton when he mouthed off and now I am thinking maybe he was trying to exert some leadership that was sorely lacking. I wrote how dare this #3 WR, that hasn't proven anything, appoint himself a spokesperson. Who does he think he is making that statement that we will make it to the SB and hopes the Patriots do to for a rematch. Looking back, who else was standing up for the team? This was a team desperately needing leadership and very little was to be found. At least he tried and I was wrong to come down on him, he tried to keep our swagger. And that is my single biggest problem with Tony, he does not have that leadership quality....yet. But with him dumping the golf tournament to be at the voluntary OTA's and openly working on some fundamentals, he is making all the right moves in that direction.
The road to the Superbowl is full of potholes, speed traps and road rage.

First of I do not appreciate the yelling. When you write in all caps in a blog or chat you are yelling. I know that Coach has mentioned this to you before, it is just not necessary. 2nd yes he had the ball in his hands in both instances but to say that he lost those games is just plain untrue. The seatle loss, had many facets to it, Glenn for example fumbled the ball into the endzone, there was the first down that was reviewed and overturned right before the snap was fumbled, and yes there was the mishandled snap. However Romo had the first down, but it was never looked at, not to mention the fact that Witten had the first down as well and that was a bullsh*t overturn that should not have happened. Oh and how many teams have their starting quarterback as their holder on field goals, go ahead I'll wait. Same thing with the Giants, Romo wasn't the one that only ran the ball 4 times, Romo wasn't the one who droped passes, Romo wasn't the one who quit on the game winning route, Romo wasn't the one who forgot how to pass protect. That is why I say it was a team loss. Yes he threw the interception on 4th down, but geeze could it be that nobody was open, and again the giants were bearing down and he had to do something. The play calling was horrible, the running game was horrible in the second half, the pass protection was horrible, the defense was horrible, and yes Romo messed up too he took an intentional grounding that wasn't necessary, and he missed some open guys. The point is everyone f*cked up, everyone made mistakes, that is the definition of a team loss. Oh and by the way who would you have replace him, name any starting quarterback other than the obvious 2 that can do what he does, go ahead I'll wait.

Good post... but that was about the only thing I liked about Crayton... when he said that. And you are right, Tony needs to man up for this team, and hopefully he does it this year. I just want a change at #2 so we are not so dang predictable. And you asked wether I trust Garrett... jury is still out... I personally think he spent too much time looking for a job that he forgot how to do his. None of the Giants staff went on an interview with there down time, by choice. Garret and Sporano were gone in a flash to Baltimotr and Miami and every where else under the sun... and Tony caught crap for Mexico? Garret should have been strung up right beside him.
Had a rough day, just venting.

First of all love the "go ahead i'll wait"...Secondly everyone did f*ck up in both games, but everyone didn't have the ball in there hands(BEING ABLE TO WIN IT)on the last play of both games...Great players step up in situations like that...just as my Kobe Bryant did not step up in the NBA championship...One must arise for the occasion!!!And i don't want to replace my rainmaker....But around the time this could occur there is a "STUD" coming out...Tim Tebow to answer your question....Sorry for raising my voice...Finally i LOVE Romo, just don't want everyone blinded by love...

Here is a good question: Primetime goes into the hall of fame... out of all of the teams he played for, which team will he claim?
