    New Avatar!

Since I'm having trouble getting pictures on my sig, I decided to change my avatar.  I love the old one with my son wearing a Cowboys cap, but he's aged quite a bit since then.  He's going to be 2 on June 20 (5 days after I turn 36).

You'll have to squint quite a bit to see him.

Thanks.  I'm a firm believer in starting their journey to Cowboydom at a young age!  My brother-in-law wasn't paying attention and now my nephew is the only Jacksonville Jaguars fan in Texas!  Well, that's what he gets for marrying a Steelers fan in the first place!

Good luck with that. I hate to hear stories about a child that grows up to be a fan of a team other than the Cowboys, even though the child's parent(s) were die hard Dallas Cowboys fans. Sometimes, it happens. I don't know what to say on how to deter that, you know. I know my father was a Cowboys fan and it trickled down to me, thank Heaven.

That's awesome man.  My son is two as well (well, more like 2 1/2 actually).  I could never find a Cowboys cap that can fit him when I go to the Proshop or anything.  I bought him a Romo jersey though.  I'm going to take him to a preseason game this year and see how he handles it.  It will be his first game, though I guess preseason may not officially count as a true game.  It will test the waters.  Ultimately, it will gear him up for more in the future, I hope.

Happy father's day (though a day early) to all the dad's out there, by the way.  I love being a father to my son, and although it can be challenging at times, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

I'm hoping to take the family to a game soon myself.  My older son didn't become my "son" until I married his mom when he was 12.  He didn't have a father-figure to get him into football so it's hard to get him into some of the games. He's gradually getting more interested though and is a Cowboys fan.  He likes Marion Barber.

I want to buy Nicholas a jersey, but I'm waiting till the season starts because he's growing so fast.  I'm positive that it'll be a Romo jersey too.  He pretty much likes any sport that has a ball right now.  He's also into cars, but that's pretty much ANY young boy.  I have to be VERY careful to keep him on the Cowboys path.  My father and sister are REDSKINS FANS!  Argh!  My uncle and aunt are STEELERS FANS (to be fair, they live in Pittsburgh) as is my brother-in-law's wife!  My brother is a Cardinals fan... go figure... he lives in Las Vegas so I have less to worry about from him.  Aside from that me, my wife, our 15-year-old, my three brothers-in-law on my wife's side, my sister's husband, my father-in-law, mother-in-law and all of my nieces and nephews on my wife's side are Cowboys fans.  We read our Bibles and discovered that it was the wise men who followed the STAR!
