I agree to that.
As far as if TO goes down, where would we be? I think we'd be somewhere along the lines of a great (it's early, but possible hall-of-fame) running back in Marion Barber, a great compliment with Felix Jones who could easily go out in the slot. We got a Jason Witten who could easily be a #1 receiver, and guys, don't disregard Martellus Bennett, I think this kid has got something special in him, Crayton can handle a temporary #1 receiver job, although he doesn't demand double coverage. Also, don't forget we got a genius OC, and a fantastic QB. IF TO goes down (god forbid), I think we would still be good enough to make it to the Bowl. I'm still calling it as Cowboys, 19-0, DOING WHAT THE PACHEATS COULDN'T!!!!!
And just where have you been if ya don't mind tellin me ?
Well, if you must ask, last year I remember being on here ALL offseason, and the anticipation built, and the offseason felt like an eternity, and my life felt fulfilled, yet empty at the same time. Until preseason.
This year I wanted to see if time would go by faster if I forced myself to stay off this site.
AND ????
I'm here aren't I?
It turned out to be the worse choice I could possibly make as a fan. I found actually, that I would rather be filled with anticipation and salivating out the mouth and screaming IS IT PRESEASON YET????? Then to be shed out from this wonderful high I call fandomship. And with that, win or lose from now on I will do as much in the preseason to excite myself for the regular season, no matter how much it may hurt in the end.
Welcome back
Thanks for welcoming me back. So what else is new besides people so highly concerned over our "depleted" WR Corps.
Hum Andries 50 yd shotgun snaps no backup for Romo if T.O. goes down were doomed Crayton bites it Pacman is going to prison Barber cant handle it and Roy sux. There are a few
Great observations!!!!!

Oh my, that was taken completely out of context. Hey, when you learned grammar did you also learn punctuation? Because there certainly wasn't a period at the end of that line. There was these little guys () but no . Not to mention if you reread what I just posted up you would see it says "along the lines of A great" not great. Did that grammar school teach you how to read too? By the way, correct grammar would be when I was tought grammar, not "when I learned grammar". Let me guess, your elementary school was called George W. Bush Elementary, right? What was the slogan? The place where idiots go to look smart? Talk to me when you graduate.

If Glenn signs the insurance policy or waiver...(whatever it is)...then they wont practice him much, and will not play him for a full game....cause you are right one wrong plant and its over... i believe that Hurd will be able to step up this year and somewhat fill in for Glenn...and Austin is supposed to be looking good also...we will be fine.

This is exactly how I feel. Glenn will not be his old self. We have to rely on the young guys.

Agreed. Not to mention some of the younger ones really are coming along. I really can't wait for these young receivers to put these critics back in their place.

Can we get a new topic... like... do we need another reciever, or should we petition to move Hurd to the #2 spot... or something along those lines.
T With....now there is no one left that is worth our time or the risk unless we work a trade with a club for a starter. Who would we be willing to give up? I know the #2 WR spot is a hot topic with you and I know how much you dispise PC but I think we have to go with what we have or wait until training camp and pick someone up off waivers if there is someone worth or time or the risk.
Can we trade PC? I like your thinking Coach.... hear that everyone, Coach says we are trading Crayton for Johnson... a square trade at that!
T, Coach who? And I thought Keyshawn retired and besides, we already had him once. Square trade, no way. We've got to have Ryan Leaf too or no deal. T, what are you going to do if Crayton does really well this season? One thing we haven't discussed is which of these WRs is the best blocker because I believe that will be the #2 WR's job #1. We have a #1 and #2 receiver and will reverse the run/pass ratio from last year. I haven't watched any of them to even have an opinion on their blocking.
Sorry Coach... when webber posted that, I automatically assumed it was you... but, Crayton is not the guy we want at #2 if that is going to require blocking... he won't get camera time for blocking, so he won't do it... plus, did I mention, he is soft. In prison, he would be someones sissy!
Seriously though... I was just reading Micks article...that guy is a homer... talking about Romo's #s and that he is just a baby in the league yet... and as much as that is true... he also should be the leader of this team. I don't care about other QBs you want to compare to... I care about the Cowboys... and although I am proud of Romos regular season accomplishments... Danny White was the same way... but just couldnt pull the trigger when it counted most. Now, I am not saying that Romo is going to be that guy... but one more 1 and done in the playoffs... then call it what it is.
Yes, we might have a better running game this season... and our D is definately improved... I just don't want to see us put our faith in a schlep like Crayton. I would rather see us try Hurd... or even Glenn with a bum knee.
And if half of you guys are so high on Crayton... couldnt we find value in trading him? If he is that qualified... then other teams would be offering something... but they are not... because they know what he is... a seventh round transitioned player who isnt worth the words that he uses.
TWith it's funny that you feel so strongly about Crayton in a negative sense. But the fact is JJ and the Coaches all love the guy. So your rating of the player is bias. How do you figure he is soft? Like I said many times before go onto "youtube" and watch the Patrick Crayton highlight film. You really have zero basis for your constant complaints. Did it ever occur to you that other Teams aren't showing interest in Crayton because he isn't available? The Cowboys have absoulutely no interest whatsoever in letting Crayton go. You say some of us guys are so high on Crayton. Your damn right he's got great hands and he is a solid reciever not a #1 but again you tell me when he was ever billed as a #1? Some of you guys who are so down on Crayton must know of a special WR bus filled with #1 recievers just waiting for their turn in the league.
Bias? Your whole statement was a one sided Bias based opinion with Biased examples... why watch a Crayton Highlight... all 32 seconds of it... all they will show is touchdown grabs while everyone else is on Owens and Witten. Watch the friggin games fan... they show a heck of alot more.
And better recievers... Hurd is one... once he gets his chance, he will outplay Crayton... heck, The Coaches and Owner know that a Gimp Glenn is better than Crayton... but I guess that means they love him, right?

T you should be elected president of the beating a dead horse club, we get it you don't like Crayton. I am not a Crayton fan either, but the sad reality is there just isn't that much better available out there. I would rather have Crayton then some of the criminal a-holes like Chris Henry, not to mention with how out of wack this pay system is even if someone was available it would break us. I am not even talking about Johnson or Williams, I am saying if a hump thug, moron like Javon Walker can get 50 some million then anyone can. Truth is we may have gotten a bargain on Crayton by resigning him before the end of the season. I agree that we can explore our other recievers ect. and I think we will, but I would be very suprised if we signed anyone new it would just hinder the development of our promising young wideouts. Now lets move on from this please, everyone has said there piece and there is no point in rehashing it.
