Respectful.  Will you feel the same if someone close to you passes on?
OK, Ellis is a bit above average.

I didn't always agree with the man, but he said some damn funny things IMO....and was extremely influential to a lot of good comedians.

    Let's see.  A foul-mouthed, anti-american, counter-culture, drug-addled hippy has passed on.  Cry me a river.

How exactly is he anti-american? He may have said some pretty weird stuff in his lifetime, but I never heard him say anything I felt was anti-american. For the most part, he just said it as it is.

That's why he wasn't like by a lot of people, because he told the truth on how things were.  Maybe you didn't agree with him and maybe you did but he was honest.  It's funny how a comedian is more honest and labeled anti-American yet our Political leaders who deceive us every day they're in office are American as apple pie.  But I digress so this doesn't turn into a political discussion.

Rest in peace George.  You made me laugh with your style of humor.

As I said in another thread........Sometimes I felt guilty when I laughed at some of the things he said, but I did laugh.

To me, he was just a man on a microphone.  Sometimes he made me laugh, sometimes he didn't.  Nothing more, nothing less.  I have way more important things to dwell on today !  But I will send up a quick one for his family.  Seems like the right thing to do.

Soemhow i never thought of George in the context of death. Just figured he'd always be around pointing out the contradications and hypocricy. And you're right Quick. For some, the truth DOES hurt.

Rest in peace George.....i'll miss you.
