Man I straight up dorpped the ball on this one. When I put "love" hes just my favorite player, thats it. not lookin at him in that spandex...

By off the field I didnt mean Hes sexy, I mean his attitude, like recently he noticed the iggles paid him like 3m extra and they diddnt notice, and he gave it back. I'm not gay ...

Guess I'm in the minority here, but "loving" a player from another team is fine.  It's a bit hard to understand that you like him more than our players, but being a fan of the team does not mean you necessarily like all of our players.  There are players on other teams I enjoy watching, usually because of their athleticism or hard-nosed play or something like that.  I think it's OK to be a Cowboys fan and have a player on another team be your favorite, as long as you root against your favorite player when he plays us.  Very touchy subject here.  I used to love to watch Allstott play because of the way he just crammed it up the other teams pipes.  But, I would not root for him while playing us.

Saying you "love" a player has nothing to do w/ being gay.  I love Romo, Ware, TO, and Ratliff.  Take that any way you want.

OK, Ellis is a bit above average.

You can like or dislike whomever you choose, it may be a strange combo to like the Cowboys and Westbrook, being that he plays for the most hated team IMO, in the division and most of the time when we loose to them he is one of the primary reasons, but hey to each his own, I have been a cowboy fan since 76, when I was born and my favorite player is Marion Barber, just thought I would throw that in there.

    Fooled me....

Anyways of course it is wrong, its one thing to like a player that doesnt play for your team but if you like him more than EVERY player on our team then why dont you go root for him instead of our team? just doesnt make any sense....also how the  *** can you not like DeMarcus Ware more than westbrook, Ware is the definition of badass and hes a classy guy on and off the field.

I am a dallas fan and they have been my favorite team since '92, when  I was born. No other team comes close to my love for the boys, but at the same time no cowboy player comes close to my love of Brian Westbrook. Both on and off the field? Is that wrong?

I am exactly like you, although I like Romo more than Westbrook. But Westy is my second favorite player, just because of how badass he is game in and game out, such a versatile athlete.

No offense guys, but all this westbrook love makes me want to vomit.

You can't respect Brian Westbrook, but don't love him.

Sorry. I had a moment autochthonous to a certain poster on this website that NEVER makes sense. I meant:

You CAN respect Westbrook, but don't love him.

I just re-read this thread and what I placed in bold letters made me come to the realization of how old I actually am, being at 29.  See, I honestly don't feel old and have the mentality that I'm still in my late 20s and when I associate the '92 Cowboys, I think of the Superbowl year when I was 14 years old.  I was14 years old when this kid posting this thread was born.  The Cowboys were in the process of playing their regular season in 1992 to win their 3rd superbowl championship, and while we watched and cheered them on, his mom did the same thing while he was merely a fetus.

I don't know, it just dawned on my how time flies before you know it.  I guess this Brian Westbrook/Cowboys fan is now 15 or 16 years old old.  Hopefully the Cowboys will make it to the superbowl this year so he'll have a memory of it and then when he is 29 years old and some fetus right now this time grows up to be a fan chats with him about the good ole days when Romo and company won the superbowl back in 2008, he'll look back and remember this time (and not so much about his mancrush over Westbrook).
