    Hancock

    Oh boy...

Don't get me wrong, I am typically a Will Smith fan, I really am.  And because I am, I'll have to say this movie is mediocre or so/so...and it is because of only the first half of the film will I say that.  The second half turns into a mess.

I don't know about you guys whenever you see it, but I left disappointed.  The first part of the film was great and I was entertained, but then half way through the plot behind the story completely turned around and it suddenly became silly and ridiculous.  It is a movie that intially started out with so much potential but soon turned into a "what the?"  kind of movie halfway through.  And considering there are so many super hero movies coming out this summer, this one is a disappointment compared to Iron Man and the Hulk, both that I have seen and have enjoyed (and don't forget Batman releases something this month).

Hancock began well for me but lost me half way through and I left disappointed.  It had so much potential to being a better movie than it was...I blame it on its silly plot turn.  Who knows, perhaps you'll disagree with me and like it.  Personally, I don't recommend it unless you must see it...then I recommend either catching a matinee if possible one afternoon or even waiting for it to be released on dvd later this year.  Its not worth spending the full amount on tickets to go see it one evening if you ask me.  Wait until Batman comes out this month or go see Iron Man or the Hulk if you haven't already done so.  Those are far better super hero movies than this one.

I am a Will Smith fan, but I have to say, this is not one of my favorites.  Very disappointed.

Let's just say that the second-half twist in the plot made the rest of the movie dumb for me.

Still waiting to see any sports team I'm a fan of win a championship. Still waiting. STILL WAITING.

Nah, it wasn't great. Even if the second part was okay, the movie completely changes from half 1 to half 2. First half is about redemption, second half is pretty much a sequal, except bunched up with the first half.

Never let us know what you thought of the movie.  Did you find your long lost god companion along the way and get side tracked or something?

I liked it a lot but it was very weird and definitely not what I expected from the first collaboration between two of the best actors in Hollywood.

I pretty much agree.  I thought the first half was really good, and was expecting to leave the theatre and go and buy it.  And then the plot twist, which lacked......I don't know, interest, I guess.  Bad second half.  Overall, I'd give it the grade of "Watchable."
OK, Ellis is a bit above average.

Will Smith and Jason Bateman?  Interesting.

sorry bout that.  I thought it was pretty good.  Plot twist was kinda weird, didnt make much sense, but definetly worth watching just for the whole "drunk super-hero" that Smith knocked out of the park

    GOOD JOB

Saw it with my boys on the 4th.  It was okay, I was entertained but agree it was like 2 movies jammed together.  Loved Will Smith's and Justin Bateman's character interaction.   I didn't leave feeling like I wasted my money though, so that's a good thing but could have waited for it on DVD.
