Just wondering if they already went on sale or if anybody knows when.
Thanks!
Yep. They sold out for the 2008 season, but if you don't mind paying more...you can always find some going up for sale on second-hand sites like TicketMaster or StubHub. I got 3 tickets to the Thanksgiving Day home game against Seattle for about twice the original face value. For instance the cheapest ticket on StubHub right now for that same game is $105. A sidleine ticket will cost you $2750.
Yeah, I don't like buying or selling on stubhub if I can avoid it because of their outrageous fees. If you buy from stubhub, not only will you have to pay the listed amount for the tickets, but you'll also pay stubhub 10% commission on top of whatever the sale is plus the cost of shipping the tickets, which is usually around $15 dollars for FedEx (which honestly shouldn't cost that much if you ask me.) So essentially, 2 tickets selling at $100 a piece will end up costing you $235 when all said and done through stubhub (factoring in the price plus 10% plus shipping).
To sell on stubhub you don't have to pay to ship the tickets but you end up paying stubhub 15% of whatever the tickets sell for. So for example, if I listed 2 tickets to sell for $100 a piece (and they both sold together), I'd receive payment from stubhub for $170...Stubhub would pocket that 15% (or $30.00). Because of that, I believe sellers increase their listing prices higher than usual to try to make up that 15% difference. Of course, that only means a buyer will only pay more, which will shy most of them away from an over priced listing. Using stubhub is a crazy concept...all the more reason I try to refrain from it if possible because I can never figure out the right balance to buy or sell tickets at the right price (not over paying for tickets when buying them or not listing tickets too high or too low when selling them.)
Essentially, Stubhub makes a killing off of both sellers and buyers, receiving 25% of the fees from all transactions. I think ebay is a better route personally. That or Craigslist, although Craigslist seems to be bombarded by brokers everytime I check, which becomes annoying.
