There are several things that factor in to all the Felix Jones hype, I agree with GrizzlyBear, about who he is replacing, and add to that just being bored this is the worst time of the year for a football fan because while the team is beginning to get prepared for the season training camp hasn't started, and we don't even get to watch preseason yet so when left to our own what else can we do but talk about our new players and prospects for the season and some of us me included tend to delude ourselves sometimes when it comes to any Cowboy player I think its called Homerizm and ther is no known cure for it until September.

Everyone is bored and nothing else to do but talk about our team and our new rookies. Felix is no Jerry Rice or will he try to be --he is a tailback.
There is room to discuss Felix Jones in the role that he probably will play. When he lines up at tailback there is several options for him and he was used quite a bit in screen passes. There is a number of different ways to run the screen pass. The Razorbacks used him in the middle on screens or run him inside on a slant.
Get a mismatch one on one with Felix, like a screen pass, than we are talking about big plays or TD,s. He is a good receiver as a tailback out of the backfield, many tailbacks can not catch, but Felix can catch pretty good and on the move.
