If Minn does sign him, with their line, their backs and their defense. Ugh.
Hey, at least we won't have to play them this year.

Re: BREAKING NEWS: Favre demands release by GB, wants to play in 2008
TheBigD:Maybe he's asking to be released because of his respect for the Packers organization. He realizes what a publicity nightmare he's already caused and wants to let them move on with the Rodgers era (however long that lasts). The problem is I don't understand what his reason is. He has every record he'd want. I can only assume he wants another ring, but where else would be better to do that (as a starter) than Green Bay? Nowhere. Heck, what team could he do it with as a starter at all? Maybe Minnesota? But you'd have to think GB would never release him if they got any wiff of his desires to relocate there.
Maybe he just loves to play the game. Or the adrenalin rush that comes from being chased by 300-lb DEs.
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine!

The Emperor:
Oh, I was just messin' with you, CowboyFan.
When Aikman and the Triplets were around, I disliked Favre. However, when he got to be an old man, I didn't mind Favre that much. In fact, when his father died, I rooted for Favre on ABC MNF against the Raiders.
Favre needs to sit down and go away. He made his bed. Now, it's time for him to sleep in it. Favre coming out of retirement is as annoying as the latest Rambo/India Jones/Rocky movies. YOU'RE OLD! Get off the stage! Let a new generation take the reins. Go away, Favre. No one is going to support you on this.
He had one of his four or five best seasons ever last year. The man can still play with the best in the business. That's nothing like the recent Rambo / Indy Jones / Rocky / Die Hard movies.
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine!

They would have to be as deluded as I was in 2000 when I thought Aikman still had enough left to take us all the way.

Think about it guys... Brett Favre has been playing this game for his entire life. I'm guessing he played it in elementary school in a kids league. There is no way anybody can just up and walk away from it like that. Football is all he knows since thats all he's ever done. Give the guy a break and sympathise with him. Or at least stop bashing him.

I don't have to do anything regarding Brett Favre I don't want to do and that's my right as an NFL fan.

Favre has more talent to work with than Aikman had, but if Galloway and Aikman were healthy might have been a different story.

Man I really find it hard to believe people on here can rip this guy. As much as I wanted Dallas to pound the daylights out of Favre, I always respected this guy as a professional football player. He is one of the toughest players I have ever seen and would have loved him in a Cowboy uniform. As far as his come back he has earned the right to come back and play if he wants to, but Green Bay also has the right to move past the Favre era and they should. I wish Favre all the luck in finding a place to play, but if he runs into The Boy's my feeling will be the same, CRUSH HIM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Be who you are and say what you feel...Because those that matter...Don't mine...and those that mind...Don't matter

Presto512:Wow, I wonder what Packers fans must feel. The ones who actually think Favre can lead them to another Superbowl win.
All I can say is they are driving me absolutely, certifiably nutty!

If you think the coverage of Favre's "On Again, Off Again, On Again" Retirement Rollercoaster is bad on the national media sports channels, just try to turn on the TV or pick up a newspaper in Wisconsin!
Would someone...anyone...PLEASE stop the ride? I seriously want to get off.

HAHA, I'm telling you, he's eyeing that daytime Emmy. Best Washed Up Dramatic Performance.
