When I first discovered these forums, I was overseas.  It was a great way for me to not only connect with my fellow Cowboy fans, but to also keep me up to date with what was going on in the States.  When I moved back, and now living in a remote area, far away from the Ranch and far away from Texas, it still is/was a good place for me to keep up with the happenings of my Boys.

I know all this will continue on the new forum, but what I guess I'm trying to say is this one was like my first car...  you always remember your first car even though you continue to drive in other ones...

I think it's way too late for that. They spent good money for that software over there. They're not about to change back. It's like Darwin's survival of the fittest. Either adapt and evolve or die. I chose the former, but I'm having a hard time. It's so massive and so chaotic over there. There is no order. It's like one, big free-for-all. EVERYONE gets to have a blog, even the lowliest of fans. Great -- where will everyone be? On my blog or on Salty's. There's no system of PM's anymore. It's so confusing over there, but I'll get used to it. We all will have to if we want to maintain these friendships we've spent two years forging.

hmm... not nice at all; I'm not a Cowboy fan (but not a 'hater' either), just a Charger fan that likes to contribute in misc forums on occasion, usually trying to lend some perspective; I don't think I've particularly trolled here. The new board seems to be for 'Fans' only though, requiring a Fan Since Year..., Fav Current Player... and Fav HoF type...; frankly my answer for all is "None of the above" but such isn't a choice.

Ah well, I guess I could click on about anything, but that really does seem kind of bogus; certainly I've been a fan since 1961 (of the Chargers though), and I did like Dandy Don on MNF, and Ware seems like a decent guy, so maybe I'll go with those on a temp basis. Still, I find the Required Fields very irritating, though I guess it's an attempt to keep out ... ... folks like me?

PS: the so-called fans miss-called Don Meredith "Dan" in the list, lol
