    Your Teams' Records

It's my rookie season and it shows. Both of my teams are 1-3 and in the fight of their lives tonight to try to go 2-3.

     In other words, I'm cruddy.

     Are your teams good?

    Or cruddy.

Well this is also my first year.  One league I'm going to be 1-4 in another 4-1 and my last 3-2 so its been alright for my first year.

    Re: Your Teams' Records

My rookie season hasn't fared much better...0-4-1. Sad

A roster that on paper was promising has turned into a nightmare: Drew Brees, Stephen Jackson, Anquan Bouldin, Ravens D, Algea Crumpler; all of which have done absolutely nothing!(Brees and Jackson are gone BTW. I cut their worthless behinds and Bouldin is next) My money makers, TO and  MBIII, haven't done squat for two weeks. The only one making me points is Ronnie Brown and I picked him up the week after the Cowboys played the Dolphins. Nick Folk is doing a good job for me too. I'm in really bad shape and my season is probably over. This sucks!

Yes I am 5-0 too. Check out this draft:

8 Jordan Boys Frank Gore (RB SF)

17 Jordan Boys Laurence Maroney (RB NE)

32 Jordan Boys Torry Holt (WR STL)

41 Jordan Boys T.J. Houshmandzadeh (WR CIN)

56 Jordan Boys Todd Heap (TE BAL)

    65 Jordan Boys

    Adrian Peterson (RB MIN)

80 Jordan Boys DST Jaguars (DST JAC)
    89 Jordan Boys

    Tony Romo (QB DAL)

Made a trade with F Gore and Jaguars for R Wayne and Cowboys DST before the first game. Have scored 100 more points than 2nd place after 5 weeks. Through 4 weeks and grabbing the leagues highest point leader(Romo) with the 8th round pick was too much for these guys. None of those TD scoring RBs have done anything this season. It is the 3 WR starting league, so throwing Wayne, Holt, and Houshmandzadeh at a lineup gains 40+points a week.

    Re: Your Teams' Records

I'm 4-1 right now. I dropped Ben Utecht, Mike Nugent, and Michael Turner last week, and Devin Hester after 2 weeks to get rid of some "dead weight" that's sitting on my roster. Well, I made a mistake by dropping Michael Turner, because the morning after I cut him, he proceeds to rush for 149 yards on 10 carries! I added Kris Brown to get a bye-week replacement for Adam Vinatieri last week. However, I made the mistake of not starting Kris Brown a week earlier. Those two moves cost me some huge fantasy points. I had Romo and T.O. starting, too. Despite all that, I still won last week.

As it stands, my current active roster consists of:

    QB: Tony Romo
    RB: Marion Barber
RB: Fred Taylor (questionable for week 6, waiting for further info on his status before benching him)
    WR: Terrell Owens
    WR: Andre Davis
WR: Greg Jennings (questionable for week 6; waiting for further info on his status before cutting him)
    TE: Jason Witten
K: Kris Brown (questionable for week 6, may release him next week to make room for a backup DST)
    DST: Cowboys

    My reserve roster consists of:

    QB: Matt Schaub
RB: Dominic Rhodes (considering keeping him on the bench, pending his own performance and Fred Taylor's status)
    WR: Hines Ward (bye week)
    TE: Desmond Clark
    K: Adam Vinatieri (bye week)

3-2, with a strong team. Winless in my other league with members from this site.

    Re: Your Teams' Records

I went 4-0. I was completely anhialting teams with this team.

    QB- Jon Kitna

    RB- Travis Henry

    RB- Brian Westbrook

    WR- Randy Moss

    WR- TJ Houchmanzadeh

    WR- Greg Jennings

    TE- Dallas Clark

    K- Josh Brown

Defense- Jags/New York/Green Bay (changed it a few times)

This team dominated my league. Last week though, Westbrook had a Bye and he was my leading scorer, Kitna got shut down, Henry was stuffed, Moss didn't do ***, Houchmanzadeh was on a bye week, Clark was okay, Brown didn't kick anything cuz the seahawks didn't score and New York did alright. I replaced  Westbrook with that running back from New Orleans. Don't remember his name. But, he didn't do ***.

This week I'm replacing Henry with Derrick Ward and Jon Kitna with Kurt Warner. Hopefully I can get back on track. I'm tied for first with one other guy and its close. Westbrook should have a decent game. Its my rookie season and its kinda weird wanting Westbrook to gain a bunch of yards but having the Giants defense makes it difficult to root for him to gain those yards. And owning Moss is a big problem cuz I want him to get shut down but he's one of my biggest scorers.

Wow. You guys are decidedly NOT cruddy.

Both of my teams are 2-3 now, which is still cruddy, but not nearly as cruddy as 1-4.

     Here's how I won:

Team 1 pulled into the lead by 3 points with Crayton's TD on Monday Night.

Team 2 pulled into the lead with Barber III's performance, coupled with TO not scoring and Marshawn Lynch being pinned down.

I was a pube hair away from losing both games.

As if I needed more adrenaline Monday night, eh?

I'm holding my own in my leagues.

     Rank 2 of 10 4-3-0

    Rank 2 of 10 5-1-0

Rank 3 of 6 in a points only league

This week will be tough as I'm playing a lot of bench players as I have several players in bye weeks.  I did squeak out a win in one of the leagues by 1 point.  He had almost all Indy players and I was finished Sunday night.  I kept watching him creep up on me and was sweating it out.

    Shane Falco: The score.

Nothing to do now but wait for it all to start again.

    I'm in three leagues:

    4-3-0 (5 out of 10), 6-1-0 (2 out of 14), 3-2-0 (2 out of 8) Commish started that league late on accident.

    Re: Your Teams' Records

Greg Jennings was the Fantasy Hero for me this week! I dropped Matt Schaub because I couldn't trust that he'd get me fantasy points I needed, and grabbed rookie QB Trent Edwards for the bye week. Edwards and Andre Davis both got hurt. Hines Ward and Giants DEF were all that were keeping me in my fantasy game this week. I was down only SIX points going into the Monday Night Game! Jennings got me five points with 59 receiving yards in regulation. I basically needed a First Down and then some from Jennings in Overtime. Well, how about an 82-YARD TOUCHDOWN BOMB for a "first down and then some" from Greg Jennings?! Instead of losing by six, or even ONE, I win by FOURTEEN!

I'm 6-2, and got out of a tie for first place in my division with my win and a loss by my division co-leader. The guy I beat this week? I made a pre-season/post-draft trade with him; I traded Willis McGahee to him for Fred Taylor (we both had a bye-week situation at RB right after the draft, so I pulled the trigger on the trade as soon as I saw Fred Taylor's name and an RB need on the trade block.) That trade is notable in my league because it's the ONLY TRADE THAT EVER HAPPENED in my fantasy league this season!

This win looked somewhat improbable for me, because my bench for this week? ALL COWBOYS due to bye week! Romo, Barber, T.O., Witten, and the Cowboys D. Now that my team's core got their bye week out of the way, I'm pulling the trigger on adding and dropping players!
