We did. We just re-launch it from time to time at the members request so that it doesn't get too big.

    ok right

    well il start off

I think the Jones/Barber combination shouldnt be changed.

i still like jones, hes quick and agile even though hes not putting up great numbers this year,he did get 1000 yards last year, give him credit. he might come good at the back end of the end of the year

    Barber?

Well hes just a great Back, hes averaging 5.7 yards a carry, which is excellent,

Whilst jones is averaging 3.8, which isnt brilliant.

But we know MB3 is our best back but i still think JJ adds a lot to our game

I tell you what MB3's stock sure has risen this year to the point where I don't feel bad if we look at RB in next years draft and let JJ go to the highest bidder. I think Julius Jones is a quality starting RB and should start still, but I would like to see a game where he gets 20 carries and see how many he actually breaks for big gains. Any case I think MB3 is a good 3rd down back and a good goal line back. Can he handle the entire load? Maybe. But I love our one two punch and I'm just glad there both getting carries. Right now MB3 and JJ are a great tandem, let's enjoy them while we have em both.

Nothing to add. I just wanted to be in the front end of this one.

I will say that for screens, JuJo is made to order. That's his running style strength I believe.

I haven't posted in here in a while but my take on this whole JJ vs. MBIII thing goes like this...

    Trade JJ

    No trade Barber

No pull JJ and put Barber in

No pull Barber and put JJ in

No trade them both, we don't need RB's.. look at the Patsies, they don't have any running game.

You're all wrong. Keep JJ and MBIII and trade Owens.

There, that should get this thread back on track.. LOL

Some people talk trades, some talk stats and some are talking about next years draft already. We have two backs with two different styles and skills, why would we break up the two back system? Why not keep 'em healthy and fresh, we'll have them throughout the entire season. IMO

From what I have seen, I believe that MBIII is actually running very similar to how Julius did his rookie year (his fighting for yards, juking people out, cutting back when nothing is there).  I felt the exact same way about Julius as I do about Barber now when Julius was a rookie. I thought he had potential to be great. MBIII is much more physical and a more powerful runner than Julius was in his rookie year, but that just  him using the tools given to him.

One thing I do notice about MBIII is that not only does he run like Julius use to, he makes the same mistakes as Julius did in his first year, such as that one 1st down that he would have had but he ran backwards rather than taking the forward progress. Overall, Jones is a more mature back that will make fewer mistakes, but Barber still has that dazzle factor that comes with taking risks as a RB. Fans love that dazzle when it works, but if it turns around and starts to bite Barber in the butt, I imagine the so called "MBIII fans" would turn on him like so many have on Julius.

I'd almost say trade/cut Julius he hasn't improved much since being drafted and if he runs up Colombo's back one more time he's liable to tear his acl.......there has to be another slasher type back out there or to draft and end the Jones expirament.......but MBIII rules

I like JJ, but i think Barber is going to be our best back since Smith. I don't think JJ should be running it from the backfield, i think he should be getting screens and other passes in the flats. He seems to be really good when he catches the ball in open space. And i noticed when they run JJ to the right they seem to do a lot better.

I agree with that. I’d much rather see him run a screen than take a handoff and run straight into a pile and fall down. He’s better in space, but they don’t seem to take advantage of that. What I don’t understand is why they don’t run more screens and/or short passes to the RB’s whether its JJ OR MB. …………I’ve seen MB slip out of the backfield and be totally wide open a lot of times, but Romo always seems to be looking elsewhere. Same with JJ, they could probably get him open more also, but they just don’t try very often. Instead, they just run him up the middle and he goes nowhere. Arrgh!
The hurrier I go, the behinder I get.
