With Romo playing at such a high level I wanted to see where exactly you felt he ranked. Best QB in the NFL?So who do you guys think is the best QB in the NFL? A. Peyton Manning (13.1%) B. Tom Brady (33.6%) C. Tony Romo (50.4%) D. Brett Favre (1.5%) E. Other (Hassleback, Palmer, Brees, McNabb?) (1.5%)

Re: Best QB in the NFL POLL
Gotta go with Brady for right now.
it's 4th and 13. down 4pts on the 20yd line.
00:06 secs on the clock in the superbowl
who do you want under center?
I say right now because of numbers.

IMO you have to be crazy or high not to go with brady. I think Tony is creeping up on Peyton for second though.

I'm going with Tony because I'd rather have him on my team. He's younger, makes all the plays, doesn't sulk when he gets hit, and I like the team personality when he's under center.

Brady 1st, then Tony. Repitition is key, Brady has been doing it a long time now. I think Tony can do it to for a very long time, but it's early yet.

If this situation were to actually occur, I would have to go with Brady. Not because I think he's better, but he has more weapons to go to and has a better chance of success.

Have to say Tony Romo. Why you ask? Because he's a Cowboy baby!

Re: Best QB in the NFL POLL
I'm astounded to see many Cowboys fans choosing any QB other than Tony Romo as # 1! Wow!?! If either Brady or Manning had to pass behind our O-Line (and I'm not dogging our O-Line...but half the time, Tony has been having to run or scramble for his life back there during passing situations, right?), I doubt they would be as good! Isn't it true? If you are going to pick any QB other than Tony as your # 1, then pick their whole damn team, because it's those other respective QBs Offensive Lines that are blocking so well for them and giving them the damn time to pass and look so good. Just like Troy, when he was our QB. He was damn good (passing behind that monster of an O-Line) during those Super Bowl years when there was no Salary Cap! But as soon as the Salary Cap came into effect and we started losing star O-Linemen to Free Agency, Troy's play and numbers started dwindling, then it started affecting his accuracy, then the concussions started coming, etc., etc., then forceful retirement. See what I'm saying? Don't be blinded by any QBs numbers or play. Also take into effect what kind of an O-Line they have playing in front of them. And that is not including those respective QBs receiving weapons, either. I'm willing to bet if Tony had the O-Line that Brady has (and once again, I'm not trying to disrespect our wonderful O-Line, but it is what it is, isn't it?), I'm willing to bet Tony's numbers would be even better! So, as per my answer to this thread, I say Tony Romo! Just look at what he did last year at the Pro Bowl's QBs Challenge (as a half-a-season Rookie). He went up against some pretty darn good veteran QBs and made them eat his lunch! I can't wait to see him perform in this coming up Pro Bowl! Tony is my # 1 QB!

Re: Best QB in the NFL POLL
Until Romo has as many successful years as Manning I have to go with him and Romo 2nd.
Sorry GMan but Romo is good but he doesn't have the years behind him to even compare to Manning or Brady or anyone else that's had a very successful career so far. These guys have been at it for a while now and have been successful as well. Romo will get there no doubt but with 18 games under his belt, he's good but can't be compared at this point.
New season, new players, new result!

Re: Best QB in the NFL POLL
Folks, I think the mark of a good qb is one that doesn't fold under pressure, and when the play breaks down, what does he do? Romo has a drive that only one other QB in the league possesses...and that's Favre. Brady has the numbers, but not the heart. I really don't think it matters much who you put under center up in NE...they're going to excel. However, every time I see Brady under pressure, he sucks. He's not mobile and doesn't know how to improvise. You put Romo and Brady behind the same line, with the same receivers, run the same play, and I would bet good money that Romo will make the bigger play on more occasions than Brady.

Yes, sir! Totally agree. Same thing goes for Manning. Put him under pressure with a collapsing pocket, and he chokes, too.
