    Adding New Post Count Levels?

Could we add in some new post ranking levels? Maybe one for 5000 posts, 7500, and another for 10,000 posts?

     Here's what changes I envision:

    Perenial Pro Bowl'er - 950-1249

    All Pro: 1250-1599

    Household Name: 1600-1999

    NFL Legend: 2000-2499

    HOF'er: 2500-4999

    First Ballot HOF'er 5000-7499

    ROH: 7500-9999

    Franchise Founder: 10000+

Hell, I'd bet some of the blog jockeys have pounded their keyboards enough to be close to that Franchise Founder position already.

I think that's a good idea, and I'm all for it or for something similar. But every time we've made changes of this type in the past, there have been a few that were against it, mainly because they got dropped out of ROH status.

Let's let this thread run for a bit, and see what the popular opinion seems to be with everyone who wishes to voice an opinion on it, then we can go from there.

While it might be disappointing for me to get booted off the ROH and just be a HOF'r again, it isn't about the titles is it? Long as we're still talking Cowboys, what does it really matter?

PS.Will i lose dots too? Stick out tongue

Ahhhhhh RESPECT!!! hahaha I do like this idea. The tags behind our names are just that, names. Adding new classes would be cool though, just for shites.

You don't need a tag. You have an avatar of "The Great Communicator". That alone says it all. Yes

I'm all for it, even though I am only at 686....I didn't really get active on here til about the last season, even though I've been a member for almost 2 years now.  I'll be up to those cool levels in no time Smile

What I would really like to see at some point (say the 10,000 post mark Salt referred to or something) would be that a member could name their own rank (within the site rules of course). Or another idea that has been floated would be the ability to rate posts, and each person would carry an average of the ratings for their posts by other members, as a sort of a reputation built by quality posts rather than just by by quantity. Right now, our software doesn't allow us these types of options, but hopefully with the upcoming changes, we will be able to do more kewl type things like that.

Briefly on the questions about the blue dots...

The blue dots reflect where your post count is in relation to all the other posters on the site. That is why sometimes you may lose a blue dot, or gain one, depending on what you and others have posted. This feature is slow to update, and is a source for confusion for many members, and may wind up being dropped entirely when the upgrades are made. We'll just have to see how that one pans out.

I say go for it.   I'm here to share ideas.  I could really care less about rankings and blue dots.

Ever heard of a place called "the blog lounge"? Even if you never post, just come on over for TheSoothsayer's daily posts. He's the most amazing Cowboys fan I've ever met. His analyses are in-depth, historical, factual, and to the point. He doesn't mince words.

    Just One Question:

How many posts will we have to do to earn the status of Cover Model on a Wheaties cereal box?
